Empire Of The Sun Announce The Temper Trap And The Jungle Giants For Their 2027 Tour
walking on a dream
By Kiri Johnston | 2nd November 2026If ‘Walking On A Dream’ and ‘Sweet Disposition’ still have you reaching for the volume, this is your cue to hit up the group chat.
Empire of the Sun are touring Australia and New Zealand in February and March 2027, and they’re bringing some good company. The Temper Trap will join their Ask That God: Afterlife tour in Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, while The Jungle Giants take the main support slot in Adelaide and Perth. Electronic duo Roi Turbo will open every show.
Inside Ask That God: Afterlife
Elaborate costumes, surreal visuals, and euphoric electronic pop have long been part of Empire of the Sun’s appeal. For the project created by Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, this next chapter brings a reimagined production built around that same theatrical approach.
Ask That God: Afterlife marks the final live instalment of the journey surrounding their 2024 album, Ask That God. Since the tour began that year, Empire of the Sun have sold more than 600,000 tickets worldwide.
Their catalogue stretches from ‘Walking On A Dream’ and ‘We Are The People’ to ‘Alive’, ‘High and Low’, and newer tracks including ‘Changes’ and ‘Music on the Radio’. The setlist is yet to be revealed.
Who’s joining the tour?
The Temper Trap join following the release of their latest album, Sungazer, bringing new material alongside a catalogue led by ‘Sweet Disposition’. Brisbane audiences will catch them at Riverstage on Sunday 21 February, with Auckland, Sydney, and Melbourne also getting the band on the bill.
Adelaide and Perth will see The Jungle Giants, whose latest album, Experiencing Feelings of Joy, follows their chart-topping Love Signs. The record pairs their electronic pop sound with lyrics shaped by frontman Sam Hales’ experiences of burnout, injury, and a relationship ending.

Opening every show are South African-born, London-based brothers Benjamin and Conor McCarthy, better known as Roi Turbo. Their sound moves between disco, funk, house, and dance-rock, and their new single ‘Can’t Stop The Beat’ features Luke Steele. Having already joined Empire of the Sun on two tours, they’re familiar faces on the bill.
