Get Prepared For The New Spicers Scenic Rim 5-Day Walk!

Being in nature, what could be better?

When most people think about Scenic trails or Great Walks, Queensland isn’t the first place you think of. Simply put, that’s going to change. And you can thank the Spicers Scenic Rim 5-day walk.

Starting on their dream, Jude and Skroo Turner purchased farming land. They developed it into the highly successful and luxurious Spicers Peak Lodge. Continuing to purchase, the now known, Spicers Hidden Vale. Jude still believed there was beauty to be seen. And the opportunity came in the form of Queensland Government Grant, focusing on increasing ecotourism in Queensland.

Jude saw the possibility of creating a great walk that joined Peak Lodge and Hidden Vale. Which leads us to present day. After 7 years, State and Federal Government approved the project.

Situated in SEQ between Ipswich, Boonah and Warwick, surrounded by Heritage-listed national parks, Gondwana Rainforest, animals and plant life. This Scenic Rim 5-day walk is a unique and unrivalled experience.

So what do these 5 days entail?

Most obviously, hiking. It is recommended that you have a good fitness level, however, that barely scratches the surface. Starting at Spicers Hidden Vale, each day involved different accommodation as you complete the trek. The second day stops at the Spicers Mount Mistake Farmhouse, then moving to their two new eco-cabins, Spicers Amphitheatre and Spicers Timber Getters. The final stay is at the Spicers Hidden Peaks Cabins. All food and beverages are provided during the walk, achieving glamping status. And your luggage is transported to each spot. Meaning all you carry is a jumper, raincoat, water, pre-made food and a camera.

Opening officially in October 2019, departures for the 5-day trek will be Sunday. If you’ve already got this year’s holidays booked, the 2020 season runs from March until November.

Get ready for the beauty you’ll get to see!
