Raes On Wategos’ Superyacht Drops Anchor In The Whitsundays For A Dreamy Season At Sea
Sun, salt, style
By Bianca Licina | 2nd June 2025Pack your linen, prep your playlists, and clear your calendars – Raes on Wategos is setting sail with their ultra-luxe superyacht. This season, they’re taking the seas in style, dropping anchor in the Whitsundays.
Sailing through one of Australia’s most iconic destinations, M.Y. Sea Raes is bringing its signature blend of barefoot luxury, two-hatted dining, and design-led escapism to the turquoise waters of Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet, and the Great Barrier Reef from July through October. And yes, you’re going to want to book early.
So, what’s the vibe?
Think 101 feet of floating bliss, spread across three artfully styled decks by designer Tamsin Johnson (designer of Raes on Wategos) , recently refit by Chapman Yachting with a reimagined sundeck made for Champagne moments and salty hair. Whether you’re sipping sundowners, swimming off the back of the boat, or curling up under the stars with a post-dinner digestif, this is your ‘escape the group chat’ getaway – wrapped in sea breeze and polished brass.
All-inclusive charter packages
Sea Raes is offering new all-inclusive charter packages for 1, 3 and 5-night stays (plus day and extended charters), with chef-curated menus from Raes’ Jason Saxby. The kind of menus that artfully feature oysters with finger lime mignonette, salt-baked snapper with lemon myrtle, and bay lobster alla catalana. Dine on deck or on the sand, sip cocktails on the bow, and explore one of the world’s most photogenic regions between courses. This is luxury, redefined – with just the right amount of salt.
But wait – there’s more
And because Sea Raes is all about the full experience, you can add on whisky tastings, deep-sea diving, golf by chopper, live music performances, or even a Champagne picnic at Hill Inlet (name a better sentence). There are also guided hikes, stand-up paddle boards, and onboard massages, in case your idea of wellness involves less walking and more Swedish.
Hosting something? Day charters accommodate up to 30 guests, with bespoke menus, flowing cocktails and all the toys for a long, long lunch or golden hour event you’ll still be talking about by Christmas.
If you’ve been looking for a sign to finally do that group trip, proposal, birthday bash or honeymoon – this is it.
