Where In The World Is Natalie Gruzlewski?

Here’s to organising your next beach vay-cay.

It’s always incredibly exciting to be planning a beach getaway. Whether it’s to the Maldives, Fiji, or Hawaii, there are a number of things to consider, a long list of things to do, plus accommodation, flights, and connections to plan. Natalie Gruzlewski is an absolute pro at this, and has recently been announced as My Holiday Centre’s newest ambassador. We caught up with her to find out why she’s partnered with this amazing company, plus asked her for her tips on how to always have the perfect island vay-cay.

What are five things you always take with you on an island getaway?
Because I love sun-soaked days on my island getaways, I never leave without my hat, sunscreen and sunglasses! A good book and swimwear are also must-have’s.

While on holiday, do you prefer to get outdoors and do as many actives as possible, or chill poolside and do absolutely nothing?
I’m likely to be found sightseeing, exploring, indulging in good food and taking in the surroundings.  If there are opportunities to explore, I am definitely making the most of the destination. Although poolside with a cocktail is also a favourite activity!

Favourite place to stay in Hawaii?
It would have to be Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa! This destination is the perfect escape to Hawaii’s Valley Isle, where you can discover true oceanfront paradise. Located on 23 lush oceanfront acres at legendary Pu‘u Keka‘a (Black Rock) on Ka‘anapali Beach, Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa invites travellers to experience adventure, romance and family fun on Maui.

Favourite place to stay in Fiji?
At Sheraton Resort & Spa Tokoriki Island, I was able to discover a tropical oasis. Fresh off a revitalising multimillion-dollar renovation, this stunning resort exudes luxury and is the best way to get acquainted with the beautiful and unspoilt Mamanuca Islands. For these reasons, this is definitely my favourite place to stay in Fiji.

Favourite place to stay in the Maldives?
What can compete with chartering a private yacht to reach the idyllic Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort? Situated 340-kilometres from the capital city, Malé, this secluded private island resort is the perfect place to relax and forget about the rest of the world! Each of the luxury villas have their own pool and here you can enjoy direct access to the pristine, white sandy beach.

What does being My Holiday Centre’s ambassador mean to you?
I chose to partner with My Holiday Centre because they not only create holidays the way I would do them, but they’re proud and passionate about delivering unique and unforgettable experiences for their customers. This brand is forever digging deep to help Australians not only find their perfect holiday to the most idyllic and luxurious destinations but discover an amazing way to travel that is truly one-of-a-kind.

What do you think is the best thing My Holiday Centre can offer to eager holiday-goers?
What I love about My Holiday Centre is the level of detail that goes into creating every exclusive package designed with a level of detail and care that is truly unique. Their dedicated experts hand-pick curated holidays that are bursting with unbeatable value. Not ones to leave anything to chance, My Holiday Centre provide a truly unique holiday-in-a-box experience and is consistently delivering to customers on every front. Their perfectly packaged holidays encompass flights, accommodation and exclusive inclusions that simply cannot be found anywhere else, taking travellers to some of the most renowned resorts around the world.

What’s your favourite thing about a beach getaway?
It’s so easy to slip into holiday mode on a beach getaway. Sun, surf and sand—simplicity at its best. There’s nothing like spending time at the beach and in the ocean, and getting a good dose of Vitamin D!

Who’s your favourite person to go travelling with?
My husband Jack is great to travel with. We’ve enjoyed many family trips with our daughter, Olivia—from camping to tropical getaways in Fiji and skiing in Japan. We are always planning the next adventure.

What’s one tropical destination everyone should visit at least once?
I like the idea of wining and dining along the French Riviera, but at a fraction of the travel time and cost. If this is you, make a visit to New Caledonia! Only a 2.5-hour flight from Sydney, this South Pacific paradise is the vibrant, close-to-home archipelago with its feet in the water and heart in Paris.

We know it’s a tough choice, but if you had to choose just one, would you go to Hawaii, Fiji, or the Maldives?
Fiji is a favourite destination—it has so much to offer. A personal favourite: the beautiful Mamanuca Islands, lying west of Nadi. The diving, snorkelling and surfing are world-class, and Fijians are some of the most hospitable people in the world. It’s so easy to slip into Fiji time!
