Neon Nightmare Halloween Party at Retro’s Cocktail Lounge

Wander down to Fortitude Valley as Retro’s Cocktail Lounge summons all ghouls, goblins and wonderfully wicked creatures to its Neon Nightmare Halloween Party. With a stream of horrifyingly hot hits from the 80s, 90s and 00s, the only killer of the night will be your moves on the dance floor. Get into the spooky spirit while you drink, dance, and boo-gie the night away, but beware – you may just have too much fun!

Trick or Treat Little Stanley Street

When: Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October
Little Stanley Street will be abuzz with wicked witches and wonderful creatures this Halloween with the return of Trick or Treat. A frightfully fun festival of craft workshops, ghost trains, a trick-or-treat trail, and more, the foodie precinct will also be serving up spooktacular dishes and scary good sips. Head to Ahmet’s for roast pumpkin and spinach pide (dress up in your best Halloween ‘fit for a free bellini), while Brooklyn Depot will be slinging spicy wings and mad eye martinis. With your feast in hand, kick back on the lawn for a screening of your favourite spooky season flicks like The Addams Family and Corpse Bride, or get your hands on pumpkin carving at the Pumpkin Patch.

Delight in eerily enchanting concoctions that will send shivers down your spine, while the resident DJ spins killer beats to feed your sinister souls. Make sure to rock up in your most frightening ‘fit for a chance to win the prize for best-dressed, and you have yourself a nightmare that only dreams are made of!

Watch your back as you swing your way around Victoria Park’s infamous Halloween putt putt! All the creatures that go bump in the night are waiting around the corners of the fairway until 31 October, as you creep across the Broken Bones Boulevard, Carn-evil and more. Of course, the spooks you’ll encounter are sure to work up a thirst, which is why the Putt Putt Kiosk will be slinging boo-zy slushies and the Bistro is just around the corner to fill up even the biggest monster appetites.

Grab your ghouls for some island time at Hey Chica! on Saturday 8 October as all creatures wicked and wonderful unite for its spooky island party. This Halloween, Saint John’s Anglican Cathedral will be candlelit and spook-stricken as Candlelight Concerts hosts its Halloween special. Taking place on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 October, this multi-sensory musical experience boasts a Halloween-themed program filled with classic songs from iconic flicks, as well as hot hits from high-flying artists. The list of featured tunes includes Michael Jackson’s Thriller, The Rocky Horror Picture Show’s Time Warp, the theme from Ghostbusters and The Addams Family, and Game Of Thrones’s The Rains of Castamere.
