They can be left alone

You’re off doing your thing with the bridal party but your date is totally fine on their own. You don’t even have to worry because they’re chatting to everyone, getting along perfectly with your friends and oooh, they just gave you a cheeky little wink when you walked past, yeow!

They won’t flirt with anyone

Their eyes are firmly set on you and they’ve told you a bunch of times how great you look. As if they would even bother flirting with other people when they’ve got someone as great as you in their life. Let’s be real.

They’re not uncomfortable with commitment

You’re at a wedding. Weddings are romantic and alllll about commitment. For the rest of your life. Now is not the time for your date to be cynical and start saying that marriage is a BS institution! Your date needs to be totally comfortable with all the lovey-dovey stuff.

They won’t get out of control

While your friend’s date has had too much to drink, is grinding on the mother of bride and just tried to crowd surf, your date knows how to have fun without embarrassing you. Thank GOODNESS. Your date knows their limits and you know you’re in safe hands.

They’re excited to be there with you

They’ve been looking forward to this for months and were actually excited when you asked if they wanted to be your date. Heck, they even picked out a new outfit (for you to approve, of course).

They won’t freak if you catch the bouquet

You’re the lucky lady who catches the bouquet! Your date just laughs and gives you a big smooch. You’ve got a keeper.

They’re looking forward to meeting people close to you

This is the first big event you’ve been to together. Your date is keen to impress your friends and even thanked the bride and groom for the invitation! You can sit back and relax knowing that you’ve picked the right plus-one; they’re a total sweetheart!
