Where to watch State of Origin Game 3 in Brisbane

Let’s do this. It’s time to win the series again, Queenslander!

By Courtney Frank | 20th June 2017

Don’t pack away your Maroons jersey just yet! Game 3 of State of Origin is coming up on Wednesday, July 12, and it’s set to be a big one.

Wednesday lies two of the most exciting/anxious words in a Queenslander and New South Welshman's life "A Decider", so it’s now more important than ever to cheer our boys to victory!

Newstead Brewing Co. | Milton

This venue is right next door to Suncorp Stadium so they know how to cater to footy fans. Their menu is full of cured meats, salty treats and plenty of nibblies to share while you cheer (or hurl abuse) at the game. Make sure you get in early to consider all 32 draught beers they have on tap across the three bars.

Barcadia Kitchen and Bar | Bulimba

It will be Wingsday Wednesday for Origin Game 2 at Barcadia Kitchen and Bar. You won’t be able to resist grabbing some of their mouthwatering 50¢ wings before you settle in to watch Queensland dominate on the big screens! Bookings are strongly recommended so it’s best to get in quick.

Darling & Co | Paddington

Bring your sporty crew down to Darling & Co in Paddington this Wednesday night and cheer on the mighty Maroons over a cocktail (or three). If it’s a good atmosphere, great food and a post-game celebration you’re after, Darling & Co won’t disappoint.

Dalgety Public House | Teneriffe

The Dalgety Public House is getting serious for Origin night. They’ve got double-stacked parmies and an all-Aussie line-up of icy-cold tinnies. Take advantage of the free entry and cheer on all your favourite players in between bites.

The Caxton Hotel | Petrie Terrace

The Caxton is always game-ready and no one does footy quite like them. So if you’re a true State of Origin fan, don’t miss out on their VIP pre game event at The Haunt Bar, tickets are $79 per person and they provide you with a 2.5 hour nibble and beverage package as well as live entertainment.

The Story Bridge Hotel | Kangaroo Point

This venue loves State of Origin time. So much so, they show the game from every single bar and restaurant in the venue. So it doesn’t matter whether you’re drinking or eating, there’s sure to be a screen nearby for you to shout or boo at. The best part? You can do it all from the comfort of your chair.

Pig ‘N’ Whistle | Various locations

If you want to be surrounded by passionate footy fans on one of Queensland’s biggest sporting nights, then look no further! The atmosphere at the Pig ‘N’ Whistle is second to none. They love their State of Origin so much they’ve even created their very own “QLD’er Burger” just for the night. Better get in quick with this one. It’s only while stocks last.

The Normanby Hotel | Red Hill

As one of Brisbane’s oldest and most favourite venues, The Normanby Hotel is home to amazing food, great company and a fantastic atmosphere. What more could you want from your State of Origin night? (Other than a Queensland victory, of course!) Grab a big rump steak for only $16.95 or one of their famous chicken schnitzels for just $9.95, and make sure you book in advance to get the best seats.

The Defiant Duck | Newstead

With an all-American menu, the Duck is the perfect place to grab a classic footy hotdog and icy cold beer. Better book your table quick smart, because they’re bringing the biggest screen to Newstead for your State of Origin viewing pleasures.

Treasury Casino | Brisbane City

Treasury Casino is the official home of the XXXX Queensland Maroons. We hope you like loud and proud because this venue definitely won’t disappoint. You'll be rubbing shoulders with former State of origin player Jharal Yow Yeh and 4BC's Ben Davis, chart topper Havana Brown will also be doing a live & free performance after the siren from 11pm. Book a VIP table with packages starting from $37 per person. Each person will score a free Queensland supporters shirt!

Oxford 152 | Bulimba

These guys are bringing out all the stops on Wednesday night! You won’t miss a second of the action with two massive projector screens and five LCD screens showing the game. They’ll also have half-time snacks, promo girls and drink offers. If you book a table for 10+ friends, you’ll also receive a complimentary platter worth $100. Who wouldn’t want that?

Bavarian Bier Café | Brisbane City

Sit back and watch Game 2 while making your way through the mouth-watering meals and long list of beers on the Bavarian Bier Café menu. There’s sure to be plenty of people to debate the refs’ decisions with and also to clink steins with when Queensland score!
