Glamorous, gregarious and always a winner on the Brownlow Medal red carpet, Kylie Brown began a blog last year to talk honestly about motherhood and her struggles with post natal depression after the birth of her first child, Olivia, now four.
Next month she will take up her role as Ambassador for the Post and Antenatal Depression Association (PANDA) at the Growing Hope lunch and she hopes it will help shine a light on a subject that is close to her heart.
“My first blog post got a lot of attention and ended up in every newspaper in the country,” she said. “PANDA’s CEO asked me to come on board and I really wanted to do something to help other women avoid the pain that I went through.”
Now, pregnant with her third child, Kylie continues to blog on motherhood and her other passions, fashion and beauty. The former beauty therapist said being pregnant hasn’t really changed her style. “I've always been one to embrace the bump and not try to hide it,” she said.
Kylie’s blog is thegoodthebadtheunspoken.com; tickets for the lunch on March 7 can be bought at panda.org.au.
