Uber is delivering puppies to your home or office

Because puppies

By Hannah Doody | 25th February 2016

Remember in 2014 when Uber delivered Gelato Messina to the offices of deprived Brisbanites? Remember how they made all of our dreams come true last year by delivering kittens to our doorstep?

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Uber and local animal shelters have joined forces for Purina’s Pets at Work initiative. What does that mean, you ask? It MEANS that they’re delivering soft, adorable, cuddly PUPPIES to offices in eight cities around Australia today!

THAT’S RIGHT. The sequel to #UberKITTENS is here for all your puppy-cuddling needs!

So if you’re having a ruff day, clear your schedule for at least an hour and get ready for what could pawsibly be the most amazing experience in the world.

  1. Here’s how to get Uber Puppies:
  2. Open your Uber app between 12pm and 4pm today
  3. Request the “PUPPIES” option
  4. Get ready to enjoy 15 minutes’ worth of puppy love at your office
  5. Take a snap, post it on Instagram with #UberPUPPIES and try to control your tears of joy because, let’s face it, this is gonna be the best day of your whole damn life.

You just need to puppy-proof your space in case someone makes a little mess on the floor or excitedly starts chewing on important documents. (And that’s just the humans!)

The $40 “snuggle fee” goes towards the participating animal shelters so you can feel even better about this great decision you’ve just made.

And if you happen to meet a puppy and decide that it’s “the one” and you just can’t bear to part with it, good news! A shelter representative will be accompanying the puppies to each stop so you can chat to them about how to adopt your new forever friend.

Set an alarm for 12pm and have the Uber app at the ready – you KNOW everyone will want some puppy love and you’ll have to be quick to secure your snuggle time!
