The moment you lay eyes on the Valley’s TRYP Hotel you are intrigued.

Vibrant international brand, Wyndham collaborated with some of Australia’s most renowned creative chefs, drink connoisseurs and artists to make sure the boutique hotel projected Brisbane’s distinctive personality.

Juxtaposing rustic elements such as the hotel’s revived 150 year-old floorboards with ultra-contemporary fittings and street art, the 65-room art hotel is a first for Brisbane, comparing closely to the Art Series Hotels in Melbourne.

What is an art hotel you ask? It is a recent trend in the hotel industry that places art and design at the forefront to establish a unique and playful hotel experience.

The diverse works of street artists including Fintan Magee and Numskull cover the walls within each room with individual and vibrant artistic expression.

Chur Burger

After the despair of their Sydney restaurant burning down, Chur Burger has risen from the ashes by setting up shop in TRYP Hotel to feed Brisbane’s mighty appetite.

Not only does head chef Warren Turnbull and his team of passionate chefs whip up the tastiest burgers sourced from the freshest ingredients, their menu also includes Breakfast, dessert, and a range of delicious beverages like salted caramel milkshakes.

Their share menu is sure to tickle your taste buds too, with dishes including lamb cutlets with mint chimichurri and Sichuan quail with ginger vinegar and pickled carrot (is your mouth watering yet?).

Open hours: 6:30am-late

Up on Constance Bar

Set atop TRYP’s roof is Up on Constance Bar, your next hang out after a long week with friends.

The open-air design is complete with glass-sided walls and a retractable roof allowing for patrons to cheers the weekend against the backdrop of Brisbane’s stunning landscape from Teneriffe Hill to Mount Cootha TV towers.

Get comfortable on a range of brightly coloured banquette seating, creating an inviting pop of colour within the structured space.

The in-built UP in the wall situated near the bar is filled with Veuve Clicquot Champagne, a call sign of a quality drinks menu.

The drinks menu caters to the most discerning palette, offering the best imported and home-brewed craft beers, wines, and innovative cocktail options. We recommend the TRYP House Punch, a fruity combination of Belvedere pink grapefruit, Apricot Peach Liqueur and passionfruit pulp.

Accompany your drink with something from the delicious snacks menu - the Oysters with Vietnamese dressing and crispy shallots, and the Spiced Chickpea fritters with pickled veges and labne are divine.

With the nights getting steamier, Up is the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing beverage in good company on a balmy Brisbane evening.

Open hours: 5pm-12am Thurs-Sun
