A Magical $35m Re-Development Is Coming To One Of Brisbane's Shopping Centres

A playground for adults? Count us in!

We’re loving the announcements of new developments popping up all over the Brisbane CBD, and now Toombul Shopping Centre is throwing its hat in the ring to become the most exciting re-development of 2019. Set to launch at the end of the year, UPSTAIRS is the new dining and entertaining playground that we cannot wait to run wild in.

This $35 million re-development won’t be anything short of magical, with promises to host Insta-worthy experiences everywhere you look thanks to the art-inspired décor and aesthetics. The precinct will be a first-of-its-kind, urban dining and entertainment experience, that will feature up to ten new eateries, lifestyle venues, and a full re-furbished art-house cinema.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! The development will be headlined by Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq – an electrifying circus-slash-arcade-bar combo – which means cocktails topped with popping candy, mouth-watering arcade snacks, and games such as bowling and dodgem cars will be on offer all week long.

Set to become the staple of the Brisbane foodie and lifestyle scene, UPSTAIRS is more than just eating: it will be an immersive dining experience.

Toombul Centre Manager, Melanie Hodge, agreed that customers have been craving something new and exciting for years, and confirms that UPSTAIRS will be the place not only for people to eat and shop but to, “socialise, be entertained and indulged.”

We can’t wait!
