The Easter long weekend is one of the most indulgent holidays of the year – at least for our fellow sweet tooths! Our mouths are watering in anticipation at the thought of digging into delectable treats, so we’ve compiled a sweet list of things to and places to be this long weekend in Brisbane.
Experience mouthwatering flavours with the TWO limited editions of Stokehouse Q’s signature Easter dessert, The Bombe. The first version of the Easter Bombe will be available from Monday, March 21 to Sunday, March 27 (Easter Sunday). The second version will be available from Monday, March 28 to Sunday, April 3 to gently help you come down from your Easter high.

Forget hot cross buns (well, don't forget them, they're delicious), and get on board with hot cross BROWNIES. That's right, Dello Mano in Newstead has gone all out this Easter and produced their signature decadent squares in hot cross form and they're DELICIOUS.

No Easter would be complete without a hot cross bun and the Max Brenner team knows what’s up. The chocolate experts have put their creative spin on our all-time favourite with the Not Cross Bun: a warm choc chip spiced bun stuffed with vanilla ice-cream and served with a pot of pure melted chocolate. Oooooh yeah. The second special dessert on offer is Max’s Egg-clairs: two white chocolate-covered eclairs filled with delicious vanilla creme nestled in milk chocolate ganache and sprinkled with caramelised pecans. Embrace the joys of Easter with a full weekend of special deals! Pop in to the Bavarian Bier Cafe from 3pm on Thursday, March 24 and kick off your weekend with a 500ml beer for the price of 300ml. Beer not tickling your fancy? No worries; they're also offering $10 cocktails!
On Good Friday, enjoy the special Easter menu addition of lemon sole with burnt butter, parsley and capers paired with a 300ml craft beer for $30. Then dance along to the live DJ from 7pm.
Easter Saturday couldn’t be sweeter with a $35 beer tasting paddle. Enjoy the variety with the Crafty Bavarian Brewing Co.’s four house-crafted beers. Bit peckish? These guys understand your snack cravings and are serving up matched bites with every beer tasting paddle.
From midday ’til 2pm on Easter Sunday, the kiddies can channel their inner Picasso with FREE traditional egg painting, a classic Easter egg hunt, and a range of other games and activities. From 2pm, the adults can kick back and relax with craft beers on tap and a live DJ.

Good Friday means it's time for the Bayside's largest yearly event! Get ready for great live music and entertainment across two stages, a traditional egg hunt, rides, markets, delicious food stall and even a skydiving bunny!

Embrace mythical wonders when you dine on Saké Restaurant & Bar’s signature dragon egg dessert. The chocolate egg is comprised of a Valrhona dark chocolate shell – that’s gourmet French chocolate, people! – filled with toasted chocolate crumble, edible soil and passionfruit yoghurt crispy chips.
The gorgeous eggs are delivered to the table and served under a pouring of liquid nitrogen.
