Easter In Brisbane: Awesome Things To Eat & Do

The time has come to talk of many things: of chocolate and egg hunts and Easter meal deals! Of Easter festivals and chocolate (wait, did we already say that?).

The Easter long weekend is one of the most indulgent holidays of the year – at least for our fellow sweet tooths! Our mouths are watering in anticipation at the thought of digging into delectable treats, so we’ve compiled a sweet list of things to and places to be this long weekend in Brisbane.

Stokehouse Q

Experience mouthwatering flavours with the TWO limited editions of Stokehouse Q’s signature Easter dessert, The Bombe. The first version of the Easter Bombe will be available from Monday, March 21 to Sunday, March 27 (Easter Sunday). The second version will be available from Monday, March 28 to Sunday, April 3 to gently help you come down from your Easter high.

Dello Mano

Forget hot cross buns (well, don't forget them, they're delicious), and get on board with hot cross BROWNIES. That's right, Dello Mano in Newstead has gone all out this Easter and produced their signature decadent squares in hot cross form and they're DELICIOUS.

Max Brenner

No Easter would be complete without a hot cross bun and the Max Brenner team knows what’s up. The chocolate experts have put their creative spin on our all-time favourite with the Not Cross Bun: a warm choc chip spiced bun stuffed with vanilla ice-cream and served with a pot of pure melted chocolate. Oooooh yeah. The second special dessert on offer is Max’s Egg-clairs: two white chocolate-covered eclairs filled with delicious vanilla creme nestled in milk chocolate ganache and sprinkled with caramelised pecans. YUM.

Bavarian Bier Cafe

Embrace the joys of Easter with a full weekend of special deals! Pop in to the Bavarian Bier Cafe from 3pm on Thursday, March 24 and kick off your weekend with a 500ml beer for the price of 300ml. Beer not tickling your fancy? No worries; they're also offering $10 cocktails!

On Good Friday, enjoy the special Easter menu addition of lemon sole with burnt butter, parsley and capers paired with a 300ml craft beer for $30. Then dance along to the live DJ from 7pm.

Easter Saturday couldn’t be sweeter with a $35 beer tasting paddle. Enjoy the variety with the Crafty Bavarian Brewing Co.’s four house-crafted beers. Bit peckish? These guys understand your snack cravings and are serving up matched bites with every beer tasting paddle.

From midday ’til 2pm on Easter Sunday, the kiddies can channel their inner Picasso with FREE traditional egg painting, a classic Easter egg hunt, and a range of other games and activities. From 2pm, the adults can kick back and relax with craft beers on tap and a live DJ.

Redcliffe Sails Festival

Good Friday means it's time for the Bayside's largest yearly event! Get ready for great live music and entertainment across two stages, a traditional egg hunt, rides, markets, delicious food stall and even a skydiving bunny!

Regatta Hotel Good Friday Seafood Luncheon

Make sure you have a small brekky so you can indulge at the Regatta's four-course seafood extravaganza. With a menu designed by Boatshed's executive chef Vessi Seng, the lunch features mains such as and a premium beverage package that features Moet. Ooh la la!

Easter Kirtan Festival

Treat your soul over the long weekend and feel your spirits soar as you sing, dance and celebrate kirtan, a journey of self-discovery by the call-and-response singing of spiritually uplifting songs. Presented by the Australian School of Meditation and Yoga, the festival also includes a tasty vegetarian meal after every night session. Tickets are just $5 and you can pay on the night.

Don’t want to let go of those soulful vibes? The Easter Kirtan Festival has another session at 6pm on Monday, March 28 at The Mount Gravatt Memorial Hall. Chill out, enjoy some veggie food and feel relaxed and refreshed for the week ahead!

Saké Restaurant & Bar

Embrace mythical wonders when you dine on Saké Restaurant & Bar’s signature dragon egg dessert. The chocolate egg is comprised of a Valrhona dark chocolate shell – that’s gourmet French chocolate, people! – filled with toasted chocolate crumble, edible soil and passionfruit yoghurt crispy chips.

The gorgeous eggs are delivered to the table and served under a pouring of liquid nitrogen. The nitrogen makes the eggs brittle enough to break open with a spoon in a mesmerising display of chocolate goodness. My oh my, now that’s an Insta-worthy dessert! There are only 50 dragon eggs available over the Easter long weekend (for $110 per person), so book now to avoid missing out.

North Brisbane Easter Festival

Rustle up the family and come along to the North Brisbane Easter Festival. There will be something for all kids, including an inflatable soccer field, face painting, a bouncy castle and a acute and cuddly petting zoo. And no Easter festival would be complete without an egg hunt! Enjoy all this and more for FREE this Easter long weekend!

Story Bridge Hotel

Open throughout the long weekend (excluding Good Friday), the Story Bridge is the perfect place to eat, drink and dance the weekend away. You can even top it off with a recovery brekky on Easter Monday at the Main St. Bar & Eatery, which will be serving up some house-baked hot cross buns and mini chocolate browns on Saturday AND Sunday.

Forget whipping up an Easter Sunday feast – let Deery’s Restaurant & Smokehouse do the cooking for you! (And the dishes!) Deery’s traditional Easter Sunday lunch includes a whole roasted pork belly with all the trimmings.

Sirromet Easter Family Fun Day

Sirromet Winery is the place to be this Easter Sunday with children's rides and live entertainment throughout the day. There will be delicious foods and a feast of Easter eggs delivered personally by the star of the day – the Easter bunny.

 The day kicks off at 10am and is sure to be fun for the whole family. Book a table for lunch and enjoy your Easter Sunday meal at the nearby Lurleen's Restaurant or take advantage of the different foods on offer at Sirromet’s Fun Day.
