Meet The New Night Market Coming to Brisbane This Month

We’re saying hello to a new Friday night ritual in Rocklea.

Ahh, Friday night. The office is closed, the work-week is done, and there is 48-hours of excitement waiting for us before the Sunday evening blues set in. If you’re unsure of how to spend the best night of the week, then we’ve found your answer: Brisbane Night Market. This venue is the new night market coming to Brisbane’s South, and we are oh so ready for it!

The Brisbane Night Market is the phenomenon set to hit Rocklea on February 15, under the expansive covered unloading area of the pre-existing Brisbane Produce Market. The entirely undercover outside venue has undergone structural preparation to transform into the foodie hotspot it is bound to become – with over 40 multicultural dinner and dessert stalls on offer!

The food isn’t the only thing making the market the Friday night place to be. There will be local musicians performing on the main stage, as well as buskers scattered throughout the venue to provide background entertainment for those sitting around, soaking up the experience while chatting with friends.

If shopping is more your style, there will be a limited selection of local craft, fashion and artisan stalls for you to wander through while enjoying your street-style snacks. Plus, the kids don’t have to stay at home. A kids zone will be established, with weekly fun activities such as bouncy castles, craft stalls, and face-painting, where the parents can watch on from a relaxed seating area nearby.

The Brisbane Night Market will trade every Friday from 4 pm to 10 pm, and is set to open by the end of this month. It will become the perfect stop for commuters, those looking to cross the river after dark, and the meeting point of choice for those from Brisbane’s South.
