Do you always swear at the start of winter you’re not going to put on those extra couple of kilos….. and then …. Somehow they just appear anyway?
Here’s a few tips that will help keep you on track to see you through the cooler months:
Join me and the SBF team for the STADIUM STOMP at the Gabba June 22. It’s great to sign up for events like this to keep you motivated to train – and you’ll also be supporting the Mater Little Miracles charity.
Get the slow cooker out and cook delicious and nutritious soups for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make everything in bulk and stock the freezer up for next week too.
Start the day with 5 squats 5 pushups 5 situps. It won’t take up much time but it will get you warmed up and release some feel good hormones to get your day started on the right foot. Set yourself the challenge of doing this EVERY SINGLE MORNING of winter.
Try some different seasonal vegetables. We should be having a good variety of vegetables every day, yet most of us generally stick to the same ones each week. Why not challenge yourself to a different vegetable each week and experiment with new recipes.
If you usually exercise in the morning, get yourself prepared the night before. You’re less likely to hit the snooze button if you have your plan set out and are organized for the session. Even better wear your training clothes to bed (that’s not a joke).
Sign up to my SBF Winter Lifestyle Challenge and let someone else organize your winter routine for you. You’ll get eating guidelines, menu plans, our latest recipe book, fitness sessions, weekly mini challenges, online support and much more. All of which can be undertaken in the comfort of your own home. www.sallybrouwerfitness.com.au
If you can do all of the above, I guarantee you’ll be feeling great and won’t have to worry about getting in shape for summer!
