Your First Look At Range Rover’s Exclusive SUV Inspired By QLD’s Orpheus Island

A dream on wheels

Call us bias, but Queensland’s natural landscape is an endless source of inspiration. Take Orpheus Island for example: A tropical escape nestled in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, exquisite blue waters meet unblemished sand with an aura of laidback opulence in the air. Mesmerising, right?

Well, we’re not the only ones who think so because Range Rover has just unveiled the exclusive Range Rover SV Orpheus Edition – designed to capture the unparalleled beauty within our Sunshine State.

Range Rover SV Orpheus Edition

Beautiful in both craftsmanship and performance, the island’s essence is embodied in every considered aspect of the bespoke vehicle, from the Blue Gloss body exterior to the quilted Perlino leather seats inside to reflect Orepheus’ inviting sandy shores. On the driver’s side you’ll find a natural cream Ash Burr steering wheel and white ceramic controls, while personalised scatter cushions, treadplates and seat embroidery complete the unparalleled luxury at the core of Range Rover’s DNA.

Oh, and did we mention there are only six of these beauties in existence? Whether you’re navigating winding coastal roads or towing a yacht to your next getaway (yes, it can tow 3,5000kg effortlessly), the Range Rover SV Orpheus Edition doesn’t just keep up; it leads the way.

Orpheus Island is also the home of the latest Range Rover House: a spectacular island luxury residence and invite-only destination set to open its doors from 29 November to 5 December for clients to experience a physical manifestation of the brand. With over 40 Range Rover Houses previously taking over the world’s most desirable locations – from California to St Tropez – the Queensland spot is in exceptional company.

Proving that style and substance are not mutually exclusive, Range Rover is also honouring the reef that surrounds Orpheus by giving each new owner of the limited-edition model a custom-made sculpture of Jayme Marshal – a Wulgurukaba and Yunbenen woman who represents the next generation of indigenous leaders. As a replica of the original featured in the Ocean Sentinels installation five metres underwater off the coast of North Queensland, the sculpture highlights the crucial role of the Traditional owners who safeguard the future of the Great Barrier Reef.
