Don’t let your unused nappies go to waste this month, donate them to The Nappy Collective, which helps women and children in need who are in women’s shelters, affected by domestic violence or who are homeless. Nappies are an expensive cost and this collection assists with the costs and helps reduce the financial burden on these families in need.
Mama’s Home in Windsor has joined with The Nappy Collective to help collect leftover and unused nappies to support those who are truly in need. If you have nappies that you’re willing to give away to help disadvantaged families, head to Mama’s Home - collection in store between May 1 to 15.
Run by volunteers, the first Nappy Collective was launched in October 2013 by a group of mums who had a handful of nappies their toddlers did not fit into anymore. Within two weeks of launching, 1,500 nappies had been collected.
The number of nappies collected are at a total of 226,000!
The Nappy Collective runs for two weeks in May and October.
There are a variety of collection points around Australia which can be found through The Nappy Collective website.
Help make a difference and pass on your leftover nappies!
