Meet the Finalists: Sarah Pearce

This week, we announced the four finalists of our Style + Substance campaign, and we’re sitting down with each of them to learn what makes them tick, what inspires them, and why they think they have the most Style + Substance of all!

Sarah’s big idea came to her while on a trip to New York with her husband. After a series of other trips where they’d had to rely on the kindness of strangers to snap a photo, or resort to an awkward selfie, Sarah was involved in a test shoot on the Brooklyn Bridge for a friend who was a budding photographer. An hour later, the photographer captured 10 amazing images that resulted in a brainwave – Travel Shoot.

Sarah has spent the past 2 years building a network of photographers around the world who know the best local destinations and are able to offer travellers, honeymooners, families and more a short photo shoot at their holiday destination that they will remember forever.

Sarah’s idea has been backed by some pretty powerful biz leaders, after she was selected to appear on Shark Tank earlier this year, and won People’s Choice for Best New Business Idea. Now, she’s looking to add Style + Substance winner to her mantle, which she'll use to align with major travel players in the Australian market.

What does having Style + Substance mean to Sarah? “Style for us is about creating beautiful images that are iconic, timeless, and tell stories. Substance is about being genuine and creating opportunities for others – work for local photographers, experiences for travellers they will remember for the rest of their life, and aid for local charities across the globe.”

With more than 20 destinations currently available, we love this idea for gorgeous family memories or even a girl's trip to remember!
