Brisbane’s Long Island Precinct is one of the most desirable and sought after areas in town. So of course, we took one for the team and went to check out all it has to offer to report back to you.

Long Island is the new retail and dining destination nestled in the buzzing and budding Newstead Gasworks. Total Fusion Platinum, Campos Coffee, Luna Car Wash and Lucent Residences all come under the umbrella of Long Island.

We started off our day by heading to the cafe, Campos. We indulged in a mouthwatering brunch from their new menu, and of course sipped on multiple coffees, made with their own coffee blend. With our bellies full, we, of course, waited half an hour before heading up to the Lucent Residences rooftop pool to have a dip and work on our suntan. Wow, what a view. We took our pick from one of the 44 sun lounges and enjoyed the uninterrupted panoramic scenes over Brisbane’s city skyline over the 55m infinity pool and jacuzzi.

If that doesn’t do it for you, maybe the yoga lawn or their rooftop fitness centre, Studio 55 will. Equipped with the latest Technogym equipment, free weights and Pilates reformers, it overlooks the city and is essentially redefining the art of training. The rooftop also offers an interactive golf simulator, with 170 virtual courses. If you would prefer to recline, the roof also offers an open-air cinema where you can watch your favourite sports or movies from the comfort of a beanbag. The rooftop is, of course, kitted out with a top of the range kitchen and private dining area to host dinners with your lucky guests.

After drying off, we ventured down to the mezzanine level of the Lucent building to Total Fusion, the yoga, pilates and mixed fitness, state-of-the-art centre. Let’s just say if this place doesn’t get you excited about going to the gym, we don’t know what will. Our favourite feature about the studios is the yoga room that features a Himalayan salt wall to help you get you in your zen zone. Also, they have kombucha on tap, a tonic bar, and bone broth station, enough said, right?

Last but not least, Long Island offers a diamond class, detailed car cleaning service, so after a day of brunching and downward dogging, we came back to our sparkling clean car from Luna Car Wash.
