The Ultimate Festival Round-Up To See You Through The Rest Of 2019

The Ultimate Festival Round-Up To See You Through The Rest Of 2019

The best is yet to come ya’ll

By Clare Lacey | 27th August 2019

Whether you’re a festival chaser or after a one-time thing, Brisbane is the place to be to get your festival fix. Here in Brissy we don’t really do a ‘festival season’, instead we pursue the music all year round (or more accurately, it comes to us!). Even though we’re already over eight months through the year (how did that happen) it’s not too late, some of the best is still yet to come! Here’s the line-up of the hottest music festivals hitting Brisbane before 2019 is over.

BIGSOUND | Fortitude Valley

Now in its eighteenth year, BIGSOUND is a truly innovative festival 100% dedicated to Australian artists. With a passion for uncovering new talent and forging business opportunities, BIGSOUND brings Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley to life showcasing up-and-comers to fans, industry professionals and international influences alike. Still not convinced you could find a new favourite artist well I’ve got just the info to change your mind! BIGSOUND has been instrumental in uncovering A-list Aussie names like Flume, Courtney Barnett, Rufus, Megan Washington, Gang of Youths, Remi and The Temper Trap. BIGSOUND Festival is on September 3 – 6, you can get your tickets here!

Falls Festival | North Byron Parklands

What better way to bring in the New Year then with the company of your best mates, one too many drinks and some legendary live tunes from the likes of Tash Sultana, Vampire Weekend, Peking Duck and John Farnham, just to name a few. Keep the party going well into the New Year with a three day pass so you don’t miss any of the top names. You’ll also get the chance to catch Halsey’s only Australian show! But beware! Everyone, their mum and their second cousin once removed, seems to go to Falls so getting tickets is no easy feat! If you do manage to snag a few (we’re very jealous!) then make sure you check out Fall’s new payment plan option available for the first time this year. Even if you don’t have two dollars to rub together right now, the good news is you don’t have to miss out. Just buy now, pay later (you’re welcome). Falls Festivals runs from December 31 – January 2, tickets are available here!

Featuring acts from Diplo, Wafia, Flume and Denzel Curry, Listen Out is set to provide all the party tunes you could possibly dream of. Added bonus: this year, Listen Out is partnering with Save-A-Mate, a health education program that aims to reduce the harms associated with alcohol and drug use to ensure you can party hard but stay safe!
