Can you believe we’ve been friends for 12 weeks? It has definitely been a very enjoyable, exciting and positive experience to date. I just wished that could have been the case for that 12-week fitness challenge I started… and never finished.
However, for now I am off on a vacay of epic proportions and am unsure when my next post will be for a while. So this is goodbye for now, but let’s hope not forever Stylers.
Here are my parting musings…
What you may know and what you may not know:
Eleven Rooftop Bar is now open
Book in for the Barber
From the mouth of Dmitri Papas himself, Papas + Pace are opening a Barbershop in the Brisbane CBD on Melbourne Street in the next 6 weeks. That’s all the info I have right now, but it’s definitely worth keeping an ear out for more details and booking a spot in a chair for your fella when it opens.
Doughnuts to drive for
Did you hear that Doughnut Time has opened a new location in Clayfield? On top of their existing hole-in-the-wall Fortitude Valley location and roaming Doughnut Time Van, this venue is only open until they sell out each day – so if you feel a craving coming on, you’ll need to get there quick!
The Zombie Apocalypse is here
Well not really, thank god! However, those who love the idea of being immersed in a hypothetical zombie outbreak will be able to from August 7 at the Carrara Markets as part of ‘Scream Farm’. It’s a new horror-maze attraction designed to scare, featuring live performers, staged sets and feedings Friday and Saturday nights.
On Monday, two new Brisbane venues are set to open. English gastro-pub, London Fields will open in West End with a mouthwatering menu based on the nose-to-tail concept and share plates, while Mr Edward’s Alehouse and Kitchen euro-fusion dining and craft beer venue will open in the Brisbane CBD.
