The cold snap is slowly dissipating, but I’m still looking for ways to keep warm! So here are three new Brisbane ways to warm up this week.
What you may know and what you may not know…
This week the largest Australian rum bar; Substation No. 41 Rum Bar, released their own namesake signature blend. The blend’s taste is described as “a creaminess with medium sweetness, opening up to butterscotch and light oakiness then revealing hints of liquorice, fennel, cinnamon, apricots and honey suckle.” Check out Style’s story on this new rum, here.
For one day only (August 1) Melbourne’s most famous and tastiest burger joint, Huxtaburger, is headed to the James St Food and Wine Trail. Chef Daniel Wilson will be at Scrumptious Reads signing copies of his highly anticipated new Huxtaburger book, and the first 20 punters to arrive will walk away with a Huxtaburger in hand- Yum! In the meantime, you can get your burger fix here...
3. Exercise Gear
Australia’s newest yoga and athletic wear label, Rumi Yogawear, is turning heads with both its prints and its premise, and encouraging us to warm up with exercise during winter. Their digitally inspired prints have also been created with sustainability in mind, with all of Rumi’s apparel made from using recycled materials, such as plastic bottles.
“OMG. Which side is up?” - Overheard in the car, while the driver had a blonde moment when exiting through the car park ramp.
Feel free to send me any gossip you may have – I’ll kindly read it all!
