Trampolines aren’t just for kids or professional gymnasts. Trampoline parks are developing an almost cult following, with the new urban playground craze for thrill-seekers finally making its way to Brisbane!
Bounce, based in Tingalpa, is a spring-loaded trampoline park, with more than 100 interconnected wall-to-wall trampolines and 500 square metres of circus grade padding and air bags for soft landings.
With winter upon us, not only is trampolining a fun exercise alternative it is actually a very effective workout, with 10 minutes of jumping equivalent to running for 30 minutes. Trampolining tones muscles and improves coordination, while also having low body impact on muscles and joints.
Already established in Melbourne and Perth, the Bounce parks have proved a hit with extreme sport fans, athletes and families alike, with fully trained staff on hand at all venues to ensure a safe bouncing experience.
Bounce co-founder Antony Morell says their Brisbane fans have been demanding a local venue for some time and they’re excited to introduce Queenslander’s to their brand of aerial fun in their biggest and best venue yet.
“Bounce has struck a chord with a great variety of people – from skiing and surfing pros honing their skills to local mums and dads enjoying a coffee with the Sunday papers while their kids jump around,” he says.
For thrill-seeking adults who want more than to merely bounce up and down, the high-intensity highlights at Bounce include trampoline dodgeball courts, basketball dunking, and a half-pipe like trampoline structure to literally bounce off the walls.
