Good news only, please

By Georgie Murray | 17th March 2020

With all the horrible news circulating about the devastating coronavirus, it’s easy to be swept up in the doom and gloom of what our world is coming to. Yes, it’s an issue and has sadly affected so many globally. But, as we can only take direction from authorities and more or less wait it out, we thought we should shed some light on the good news.

Welcome to the COVID-19 content you will actually want to see, and what’s been going viral for all the right reasons amongst the hysteria.

The Couch Choir - (They Long To Be) Close To You

This is what humanity is. Coming together while staying apart. A few days ago the internet was asked to stop the misery and scrolling for a moment to sing with the couch choir. Every submission that was successfully received was manually added to the collective and the magic was unfolded, check it out!

The Italian Street Choir

As Italy is in lockdown with residents directed to self-isolate, neighbours have banned together for a little singsong. Apparently, this isn’t a lone situation, with window-singing flash mobs popping up in a few towns. The most renowned video to surface is of an empty street in Siena, Tuscany, where residents break out in tune.

Spanish Sweat Session

Over in Spain, they’ve swapped out the singing for sweating. A fitness instructor led a class for those stuck in quarantine from a centred and low rooftop amongst apartment buildings! The clip was posted to Instagram by the fitness group, which you can check-out below.
