Digital Editor's Picks: All that shimmers

Digital Editor's Picks: All that shimmers

I've always had a soft spot for a little bit of shimmer and shine, so here are my best beauty picks to get your glow on this week.

1. Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow, Bobbi Brown, $42

This soft eyeshadow is highly pigmented with a super subtle shimmer effect. My fave thing about the lighter shades here, is that they can do double duty as a highlighter under the brow bone.

2. Ce-Less-Tial Is More Nail Polish, OPI, $19.95

The press release says "This pink super glitter shines with heavenly light". BOY does it! Although it's not labelled as such, the finish on this polish is very much like the OPI Liquid Sand variety and it shines like the stars. In fact, the whole holiday collection has a Starlight theme and on point for the party season to get your shimmer on.

3. Too Faced Melted Metal lip gloss, Mecca Cosmetics, $30

This pick is a big nod to the 90s, with a foiled liquid metal lip finish. I love it because the shimmer here is really subtle but gives you really bold lip for summer.

4. Light Switch Luminizer Palette, Napoleon Perdis, $70

I never leave home without this little gem. A little dab here and there with whichever light colour matches your makeup hues is perfect to make your face look more alive and dewy. It makes such a big difference when my face is looking a little tired.

5. Heavy Metal Eyeliner, Urban Decay, $30

Strictly for parties only, this glitter-look eyeliner is an excellent addition to soiree season. Featuring a super-fine glitter suspended in a weightless gel, these liners deliver a shimmery look and intensely iridescent effect to eyes. Wear this to work and your colleagues might ask where the party is.

6. High Beam Face Highlighter, Benefit, $26

This face highlighter is perfect for every day use to highlight your cheek and brow bones. With this one you can either wear it under makeup for a sort of "glow from within" look or use it as a spot highlighter on top of your foundation.

7. Moondust Eyeshadow, Urban Decay, $32

Urban Decay are known for their super pigmenty (is that even a word?) shadows, and this Moondust shadow delivers in the shimmer stakes. I love it because a little bit of product goes a very long way and it really makes your peepers pop.

8. Le Blanc De Chanel Multi-Use Illuminating Base, David Jones, $65

This is heaven in a bottle. Wear this under your foundation as a primer and you won't need any other highlighting products to get your radiant glow. (Seriously, though, don't use any other shimmers with this or you'll glow like a disco ball.)

9. Touche Eclat, Yves Saint Laurent, $59

With one sold every 10 seconds (we know, ridiculous right?!) this little magic wand of a beauty product has been on every beauty blogger's must-have list since forever. It's supposed to capture light and banish the signs of fatigue. And it totally works.

10. Ambient Light Palette, Hourglass, $87

If I had to choose one product on this list above all others, this would be it. The Ambient Light Palette is basically portable Photoshop. A dusting of this powder blurs any imperfections and gives your face that glow we keep talking about. The powder is touted as a "soft focus" finishing powder that basically recreates the most universally flattering lighting states on your face. Candlelit complexion all day long? Yes please!

11. All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminiser, Stila, $26

I love this because it comes in so many tints and shades, and can be mixed into your own foundation to create an illuminating shimmer all over.
