Listen up, ridesharers! Uber has some new competition (which means you’ve got more choices). So, buckle up kiddos, because DiDi is coming to Brisbane!
Set to arrive on the 22nd of July, Didi is a rideshare service hailing from China that aims to provide affordable, reliable and safe on-demand mobility options. And they offer competitive rideshare pricing, which on average makes riding with DiDi up to ten percent more affordable than other comparable rideshare options.
Currently Didi are successfully operating in Melbourne, Geelong and Newcastle, and will soon cover the entire Brisbane urban area, extending north to Bracalba, west to Ipswich and Amberley and south to Beenleigh.
“We are thrilled to launch in Brisbane, a fast-growing and dynamic city where people love to get around and experience all the city has to offer. With the city’s receptiveness towards ridesharing and new technology, Brisbane is the ideal location for our continued expansion across Australia,” says DiDi Australia General Manager Mr. Lyn Ma.

To celebrate their launch in our little metropolis, DiDi is offering 50 percent off ten rides during the first four weeks after their launch to riders who sign up before July 22. But don’t worry! Riders who sign up after the official launch won’t miss out! They get up to 50 percent off five rides during the first four weeks after the launch, too. Simplified: all riders will receive ten percent off every ride as a long-term commitment to Brisbane.
And for all those who want to earn an extra buck (or just really like driving), DiDi drivers will also benefit from the platform’s industry leading 5.5 percent service fee, meaning each driver keeps 94.5 percent of the trip fare! Ride-on.
