In Conversation With Psychic And Spiritual Medium, David The Medium

In good spirits

By Natalie McGowan | 2nd October 2024

We often find ourselves seeking answers beyond the physical world, wondering about what lies ahead or how we stay connected to those we’ve lost.

Meet David The Medium, a Psychic Clairvoyant and Spiritual Medium, who has dedicated his life to helping people make those connections. Ahead of his live show at the 2025 KAILO Summit, we chatted with him to get the lowdown on all things spirit, the afterlife, and how he uses his unique abilities to bring healing and closure to those who need it most.

What does it mean to be a Psychic Clairvoyant and Spiritual Medium?

As a medium, I have the ability to communicate with our loved ones who have crossed over and pass on messages of proof, support, validation, and clarity from the afterlife. Being a psychic means I have the ability to foresee and predict future timelines and events – not only for those for whom I read for, but also global events.

When did you know you had those abilities?

My journey is very different to most, as I didn’t grow up with the natural ability to connect with Spirit – and if anything I was sceptical by the whole concept as a young adult! However, I had experiences in my mid-20s that allowed me to be more open-minded to different ways of thinking. This led me on a journey of discovery and to grow and strengthen my abilities as a Psychic Medium.

What is your understanding of the afterlife, and how does it influence your work as a medium?

I now have no doubt in my mind that we never die and that death doesn’t actually exist. Sure, it is inevitable that we go through the process of a physical death on Earth but the soul continues to exist in energy form. We all retain our memories and lessons that we gained from our journey on Earth and, most importantly, souls have the ability to still remain connected to those they love on Earth and can guide from afar. Understanding this as a medium is incredibly healing as I am able to show this to everyone I read for and allow them to witness connection to a realm or dimension that we can’t always see, hear, or feel and provide them with proof their loved ones
continue to live on. The most important thing for me as a medium is to break down the barrier between ‘us’ and ‘them’ and show everyone that we are still all connected as one.

How have you been able to help people connect with lost loved ones?

The single most important thing for me as a medium is to be able to provide proof of their loved one’s connection with me. I don’t speak in general terms or pass on general information. I aim for specificity and to bring up personal memories, events, and occurrences that one could not simply guess. Being able to connect in this way for someone can be incredibly healing and help provide answers and closure from unanswered questions or thoughts and comfort via showing them that their loved ones are at peace and continue to live on.

Following on from that, can you share a particularly meaningful experience in which you did that?

Every single reading I am able to do for someone is always incredibly meaningful, however some particularly meaningful experiences have been at my live audience shows. I have been able to connect mothers and families with young children who have crossed over and connect people with their life partners in the afterlife. It’s been very emotional but also incredibly healing and comforting.

Have you faced any challenges in your line of work?

People can view what I am able to do with a large degree of scepticism, rudeness, or even verbal hostility! I can be outspoken and I don’t shy away or avoid tough topics or sensitivities whatsoever. I was sceptical myself in the beginning, so I also understand it comes down to a lack of understanding, awareness, and personal experience. Besides – other people’s opinions of me are none of my business! If we don’t know each other personally, I don’t take it personally.

What will you be speaking about at the 2025 Kailo Summit?

I am incredibly excited to announce that, in partnership with the Kailo Summit, I will be holding my first-ever live audience show in Brisbane. Attendees will be able to witness first-hand the connection between Spirit and the afterlife as I conduct readings and pass on messages to members of the audience at random. I can already tell it’ll be a magical afternoon and I can’t wait to see everyone there!

What are you most looking forward to at the summit?

Besides hearing from an incredible lineup of speakers who will be sharing their knowledge and experiences, I can’t wait to connect with people from all walks of life who are here to learn and gain new ways of thinking of living.

Is there anything you’re keen to check out while in Brisbane?

As embarrassing as it is to admit, this will be my first proper stay in Brisbane for longer than a day. Not only will I be looking forward to hopefully some warmer weather, but I can’t wait to check out the local hospitality scene and also go for some walks around the city and river especially. I just love exploring new places!

Anything you’d like to add?

My podcast, Medium at Large has just launched for anybody who would like to hear me cover all different aspects of spirituality, as well as cover and make predictions around current local and world events and the energetic implications of them. I will also have some very popular and well-known guests to share their stories.
