Deciding whether you want something sweet or savoury for breakfast is hard (as is a cafe serving up free wifi!), but finding the perfect spot for your meal if your company is four legged and furry is even harder!. But with more and more Brisbane cafes warming to the idea of canine customers, it is bringing a whole new competitive edge to Brisbane’s breakfast scene.
So if you would rather not leave your best puppy pal at home or tied up to a pole some metres away, we have made up our pick of the best pet friendly cafes on offer.
Take a seat on the pavilion outside and your pet can sit right there under the table with you. Our Haus’ menu looks after its customers, both people and puppy, with a puppycino available complete with dog treats sprinkled on top. The menu also boasts great coffee and a crowd favourite, avo on toast.

Brown Dog Café
It seems only fitting with its name, that the Brown Dog welcomes furry friends. With most of the seating outside for this rustic little café, it is easy to find a table suitable to secure your pet up too. They have a range of delightful, café style eats, specials that change regularly, and there is usually the odd water bowl around as well.

Saabi on Manson
Saabi on Manson make the most of their suburban location with a quaint shaded courtyard which makes it for the perfect resting spot for any pet and their owner. You will be treated to their standout menu (which features an all day breakfast menu), while your companion will be welcomed with a bowl of water.

Milk Bar is known for its old school milk bar style and its delectable milkshakes. But what may not be such common knowledge is that they also own the outdoor space adjacent, making it the perfect chill out spot for both people and pets. While you sip down on a malt milkshake, don’t forget to bring your own water bowl so everyone can take a time out.
9/16 Ashgrove Avenue, Ashgrove
P 3366 2007
This café extends a warm, welcoming atmosphere to all customers – this includes pets! It has a beautiful timber deck complete with water bowls, and a special hook for securing leads. And rumour has it that free dog treats have also been handed out for those extra special pooches.
2/83 Latrobe Terrace, Paddington
Bean on Dean
Bean on Dean is a popular coffee haunt for locals for their range of ready to go lunches and breakfast burgers and sweet treats, but another highlighting feature is the cafes love for the furry type. They provide plenty of outdoor seating with typing up options, along with a water tap and bowl to keep all canine companions well hydrated. So while you enjoy one of their fresh baked treats, you can be assured your best friend is being looked after also.
