It seem as though everything is happening in Brisbane this weekend! From parties and festivals to markets and pop-ups, our Weekend Style Guide will have you sorted from Thursday through to Sunday.

WESTFIELD CHERMSIDE GRAND OPENING | THU, JUN 22
The new Westfield Chermside opens on Thursday and we cannot wait! The launch will take place under The Urchin and the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be hosted by the beautiful Justine Cullen, editor of Elle magazine. With more than 20 new dining retailers and many exciting things on the horizon, this is just the beginning for Westfield Chermside.

DRESS FOR A NIGHT POP-UP | JUN 22-25
Got an event coming up that demands a beautiful dress? Don’t want to pay designer prices? Enter Sydney dress-hire queens, Dress For A Night who are popping up in Brisbane this weekend. They’ll have gowns from Elle Zeitoune, Thurley, Portia & Scarlett and many more. The pop-up will be located at 161 Robertson Street, Fortitude Valley.

SO FRESH PARTY, THE TBC CLUB | FRI, JUN 23
Like to hit the Valley on a Friday night? Make sure you head into The TBC Club and enjoy a blast from the past as they pay homage to the biggest and best hits from the So Fresh albums. Back when Destiny’s Child were still together and Britney had a meltdown, this night will be one to remember. Grab a ticket from Moshtix for only $10.

AJE BRISBANE SAMPLE SALE | FRI, JUN 23-24
Who else lusts after the beauty that is AJE? Raise your hand if your bank account is a reminder you can’t afford it. Same. Spend the day wrestling your fellow AJE addicts - confessions of a shopaholic-style. Interested? To snag some of the painfully affordable pieces head down to the River Studio at the Brisbane Powerhouse. Prepare to fight over past collections, archived pieces and one-off samples. The sale will go for two days! Get in quickly everyone, the line is going to be long.

ANDROMEDA FESTIVAL 2017 | SAT, JUN 24
The popular Andromeda Festival returns in 2017 but this time, with a little twist. Instead of their usual three-day camping festival, they’re taking over one of the best live music venues in Brisbane, The Triffid at Newstead. The one-day festival will be run across two stages and features a number of international, interstate and local electronica artists. The second release of tickets is on sale now for just $59 (+ booking fees).

CHRIS ROCK, THE TOTAL BLACKOUT TOUR | SAT, JUN 24
Looking for a good laugh? Then look no further! The hilarious Chris Rock is bringing his highly anticipated, all new Total Blackout Tour to Brisbane this Saturday. The Grammy and Emmy award-winning comedian, actor, writer, producer and director will bring a night of laughter to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

DUMPLING REPUBLIC ALL YOU CAN EAT DUMPLINGS | SAT, JUN 24
This is not a drill. We repeat, this is not a drill. Dumpling Republic in the Wintergarden invites you to their popular monthly event – all you can eat dumplings! With two sessions, at noon or 6pm, you’ll need to purchase a ticket for $35pp to guarantee a table. There are 10 dumpling options available, so why not try them all!

THE JENSENS LIVE AT THE FOUNDRY | SAT, JUN 24
Want to listen to some seriously good tunes? Then you need to head to The Foundry on Saturday night! Watch seven bands play on two stages for only $20. Plus, The Jensens will be playing some of their new stuff.

JAN POWERS FARMERS MARKETS | EVERY SAT
The Jan Powers Farmers Markets are held in front of the Brisbane Powerhouse, in Lamington Street New Farm, and take place every Saturday from 6am to noon. If you’re looking for the perfect start to your morning, head to the markets and browse the fresh produce, grab a coffee and breakfast and pick up everything you need for the week ahead. PS: Dogs are allowed!

WARDROBE WARRIORS SECONDHAND FASHION MARKET | SUN, JUN 25
The Wardrobe Warriors markets are back for another round! Grab your biggest eco-friendly bag and get ready to fill it with pre-loved goodies. With more than 50 stalls, you will want to set aside the whole morning to dig for buried treasures. This event is worth the drive to the Hibiscus Sports Complex at Upper Mount Gravatt. You will need to leave the heels at home as they are prohibited. Added bonus? Your $2 entry fee goes to charity.

FREE CHARCOAL DRAWING SESSION | SUN, JUN 25
Get ready to have people say “draw me like one of your French girls, (insert name here)”. Book a free admission pass to the Ironlak Art and Design store in Brisbane city and learn how to draw with charcoal, a skill that is certifiably enviable. All materials are supplied. Spaces will fill up fast, so make sure you get in quick. Tip? Charcoal can get a little messy, so wear old clothes.

THE BEAUDESERT GOURMET STREET FOOD FESTIVAL | SUN, JUN 25
Street food has never looked so good! Jubilee Park in Beaudesert will host incredible mobile chefs from Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Byron Bay. This food festival will present guests with street-food menus to show off the greatness of produce grown by local farmers. There will be live music, heaps of kid-friendly fun, oh and of course, food.

FOOD TRUCK PICNIC FEATURING FLIPSIDE CIRCUS | SUN, JUN 25-26
Grab the fam and head to the Newmarket Bowls Club. Spend the day partaking in family-oriented activities. Enjoy the food from Downey Park food trucks – there will be plenty to choose from! Feel like a pizza? Or something Mexican? Maybe a bao bun? And so much more. Flipside Circus will keep the kiddies entertained so you can relax with a bevvy and listen to the musical stylings of Matty James.

LIMES HOTEL ROOFTOP CINEMAS | WED, JUN 28
Who wouldn’t want to lie under the stars and watch Ferris Bueller have a ridiculously awesome day off? Limes Hotel is changing up your movie viewing plans. Tickets start at $10, scaling up depending on whether you book a seat, bean bag or hot tub (that’s right, we said hot tub). Snack on delicious treats from Chester Street and grab a drink from the bar. Sit back, relax and enjoy the John Hughes masterpiece! It starts at 6.30pm. Oh, and did we mention there would be free popcorn?

SNOW4KIDS | UNTIL JUL 9
We are all unconditional lovers of our beautiful Brisbane, but we’d be lying if we didn’t wish for a little snow every once in a while. Have your kids been having the same daydreams? Make those dreams a reality with Snow4Kids at the South Bank Piazza. This favourite event will bring two new activities to make the adults seriously jealous: the Snow4Kids Park and snowman-making. Let it snow!

MARVEL – CREATING THE CINEMATIC UNIVERSE, GOMA BRISBANE | UNTIL SEP 3
GOMA Brisbane are showing the largest Marvel experience ever presented. Here, you can follow all your favourite characters from the pages of Marvel Comics to their big-screen incarnations. The exhibition features more than 500 objects from the movies and also offers a glimpse into all the behind-the-scenes action that goes into creating the Marvel cinematic universe.

END OF SEMESTER PARTIES | VARIOUS LOCATIONS
