Though some of us are loath to admit it, we’ve all sung and danced to Justin Bieber’s latest bangers at least once or twice. And by one or twice, we mean maybe a couple a hundred times.
If you’re nodding your head yes, but want to say no, don’t fight it baby. You know you dance to it when you’re alone (and you rock it), so come out and join your fellow Brisbane Beliebers in a closed-door, no-shame, super fun, high-energy dance class.
“Video clip?” you say. Yes, you’ll be recreating the moves performed by pro dancers from New Zealand’s Palace Dance Studio, including all the popping, locking and gyrating from the video with more than 637 million views on YouTube (as at January 21, 2016).
There are three possible sessions you can book in for (tickets here) at Woolly Mammoth "Mane Stage". Don’t stress if you’re not part of a hip-hop super group; the event welcomes Beliebers of all shapes, sizes and dance levels, promising a dark, loud room, with lots of fun (and sweat)!
While you don’t need prior experience, it doesn’t hurt to prepare yourself by watching the clip below:
Want to encourage your non-Belieber friends to join you? Tell them that you only want to do it because it’s “so ironic and tragic”. And then proceed to dance (and sing) your heart out during the class. By the end of the class, say, “Yeah I know, oh, that I let you down. Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?” They’ll understand by then.
Just imagine the moment Sorry plays at your friend’s house party, the club, or even at work and you can bust out every move perfectly! Their awed expressions will be worth every cent of the $19 you spent.
Like this? You’ll love these!
