To ensure nothing slows down your New Year’s Eve momentum, we’ve created a survival guide just for you!

Road Closures

On Tuesday the 31st December various road closures will be in place in the CBD, South Bank and South Brisbane, with Victoria Bridge closed from 6:30pm. Since there will be minimal parking available for motorists, it is recommended that party-goers catch public transport. For more information visit www.brisbane.qld.gov.au.

Public Transport

Additional public transport services will be running during New Year’s Eve. For those who live near the river, we would recommend catching a ferry. Both the City Hopper and Cross River Ferry will be running at 15-minute intervals until 1:45am. If you live a little further out, additional services will also be available for trains and buses. For more information visit www.translink.com.au.

Late Night Eateries

Finally, if you find you’re feeling a little peckish after all the NYE dancing, there are a number of eateries that are opened until late. If you’re in the mood for something with a little spice, head to Chilliwow (Constance St, The Valley). Offering the very best of Mexican flavours, there’s sure to be something on the menu to satisfy your every mid-night cravings. Alternatively, head to Alfredo’s for a late night pizza. The pizzeria is located directly behind Alfred and Constance, and serves authentic Italian pizzas until 3am.
