Brisbane Flower Markets

Bunches of fun!

By Amber Lowther | 4th August 2016

Flowers make me so happy. Like, unbelievably happy. All I want in life is to wake up refreshed in the morning, have a fabulous breakfast out and go to the flower markets. Luckily, I have some options to do just that here in Brissie and I’ve very generously decided to share my knowledge with you. Read on to see where you can get blooms to brighten your life!

Public service announcement: I accept flowers any day of the week. Roses are my favourite. Just sayin’.

Flowerlovers, Rocklea

Based at the Brisbane Flower Markets on Sherwood Road in Rocklea, their showroom and cool room host huge amounts of in-season fresh-cut flowers. They’re known for being Brisbane’s largest fresh flower wholesaler and they deliver, too! Flowerlovers’ qualified florists can create your dream arrangement using the freshest blooms. I just want to swan dive in their flowers, tbh.

Northside Flower Market, Stafford

Beautiful fresh flowers and floral designers are available at this huge walk-in flower market. They’re open to the public seven days a week - who doesn’t want flowers every. Single. Day? Let’s be real. Northside Flower Market is one of Brisbane’s premier florists, so you could say your flowers are in good hands.

Tesselaar Flowers, Coorparoo

Open six days a week, Tesselaar Flowers is perfect for those who want to buy flowers in bulk for fraction of the price. If you need a hand, just chat to one of their experienced florists! If you just need a break, go in and have a look-see. I swear you’ll have bunches of fun!

Roses Direct, Burbank

If you’re a sucker for roses (like me), you won’t want to miss out on local rose farm and florist Roses Direct. You can hand-pick your own stems, they have rolls of roses from $22 per dozen (*faints*) and they’re open seven days. Roses Direct is Brisbane’s only remaining rose farm, so you have no excuse not to check it out! Grab me some while you’re there, please and thank you.

Hendra Flower Market, Hendra

This flower market on the north side of Brissie offers market bunches, bouquets, arrangements, vases and balloons and they’re open six days a week. They have an array of flowers on offer and you can even shop online! They cater for a range of occasions and can organise an arrangement based on your requirements.
