Earlier this year the Style Media team threw a party with a purpose, raising much-needed funds for those whose livelihood was affected by severe flooding throughout the Townsville region.

The one in 500-year weather event hit home for many of the Style employees who turned the event into a passion project. Aptly named Tipsy for Townsville, the fundraiser was a resounding success for all involved after only two weeks of preparation. And to think, it all started as a bake sale!

Rallying the wider Style community including sponsors, clients and media supporters, TFT quickly gained traction and after partnering with the Osbourne Hotel who generously provided catering, drink services and an incredible venue, the 250 tickets were quick to sell-out.

When the day of the event arrived, there was a buzz in the office and it wasn’t just the phones ringing off-the-hook. The Style team were busily preparing the $10,000+ worth of prizes that were generously donated, balloon garlands were being wrangled into cars and social media stories were filled with behind-the-scenes peeks into what would be an incredible night.

A night that would ultimately result in an impressive $10,000 donation to the Queensland Floods Appeal.

The energy in the Osbourne was electric. Drinks were flowing, the room was filled with animated chatter and we were thrilled to see the culmination of a fortnight of planning evolve into a hugely successful fundraiser.

The success of the event must also be attributed to our loyal partners with an impressive 40-prize raffle featuring items and experiences donated by the Brisbane Broncos, The Westin Hotel, XXXX Brewery, Emporium Southbank, Visual Beauty, One Wyblenna, Libertine Parfumerie, Aria Restaurant, Lorna Jane and Stefan Hair to name a few. Not to mention the Osbourne donating $1 from every signature QLD Pride N’ Passion cocktail purchased on the evening.
