Welcome back to the Style Book Club, where we dish on the reads that had us hooked this month. The office has been buzzing with book swaps, passionate reccos, and plenty of “just one more chapter” moments. The sort of novels that make getting up for work the next day quite challenging.
We’ve devoured everything from astronaut love stories to gripping thrillers, making for a reading list as exciting as it is eclectic.

Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid – 4/5
As soon as Taylor Jenkins Reid drops a new book, I’m straight on Amazon downloading it (Kindle girls, you get it). Atmosphere wasn’t what I expected from her – but in the best way. Set in the 1980s, it follows NASA astronauts and the first women in the space shuttle program, and it’s written with such depth and realism it almost reads like a memoir. TJR’s research into space and aerospace engineering is seriously impressive – the technical detail is so spot-on, you’d think it was written by an astronaut. And of course, her signature strengths are all here: rich character development, layered storytelling, and a love story that sneaks up on you. It’s thoughtful, emotional, surprising, and quietly powerful. A totally different orbit for TJR – and she pulls it off beautifully. The only thing I wasn’t sure about? The ending…

Anna by Amy Odell – 4.5/5
I’m a sucker for a biography, especially when its on the most influential woman in fashion. Through many interviews, Amy Odell finally gives us a glimpse into the life of the woman behind the glasses. And, given the recent news, there’s no better time to pick this one up.

The Virgin Suicides by Sofia Coppola – 5/5
As the debut release under Sofia Coppola’s new imprint Important Flowers, The Virgin Suicides feels like the ultimate tribute to her first film. Featuring dreamy shots by iconic British photographer Corinne Day and exclusive excerpts from Jeffrey Eugenides himself, this book is a total must-have for any Sofia Coppola fan. The grip these photos have on my teenage self? Unreal. The 2010s Tumblr girlies know exactly what I mean.

That’s Not My Name by Megan Lally – 5/5
This one had me hooked from the start. It’s eerie, mysterious, and keeps you guessing the whole way through without trying too hard. The pacing is tight, the vibes are perfectly unsettling, and I loved how everything slowly unravelled. Read it in one sitting, so I think that says enough!

She is Haunted By Paige Clark – 5/5
It is a collection of stories that capture loss and grief, and how things naturally change over time in different situations. I read this book in 2 days and I am still processing the beauty and sadness of her words.

I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. Such a sad but beautiful love story. Warning: you might cry.
