Mo Bros and Novembeard growers alike are a proud and rather stubbly folk that have been contributing to the men’s health cause since the beginning of hair. But, not everyone can grow a mo. Sadly such a task is a little physically challenging for some of us Mo Sistas and Mini Mos. That is until now!
Brainchild of creative agency, The Playground, new initiative Adopt-A-Mo is an interactive campaign encouraging and allowing people of all ages, genders and facial hair growing ability to get behind the charity which raises funds and awareness for prostate cancer.
Adopt-A-Mo have created a platform for ‘mo surrogates’ to submit pictures of their fine mo-sterpieces for keen supporters to browse through. Adopt the mo of choice, hold your adopted mo photo over your mouth with your smartphone, snap a photo, share on social media with #adoptamo and donate. Whether you’re feeling ‘The Wisp’ a classic ‘Dirty Sanchez’ or looking to channel Freddy Mercury, there is a mo for everyone!
TIPS
Moustache comb at the ready, Aka Togninis Creative Director, ‘evo’ ambassador and founder of ‘Lil off the Top’ – Jules Tognini has put his expert grooming advice behind the brilliant Movember project. Movember. Gents looking to master the mo and other tips to staying suave through summer, have a read below.
1. Mo With the Times
Dudes grooming trends have cleaned up a lot this season, it’s all about a sharp hair cut or tidy mane with well maintained stubble, even for guys sporting a lumberjack beard or man bun.
2. Make it Mo Rugged
Ditch the razor; a clean-shaven face alongside a slicked do is too corporate. Instead, invest in a good quality set of clippers and trim on a zero or one setting.
3. Nurture Your Mo
As the mo’s come out this month, guys have to remember to use good products to avoid frazzled, dry facial hair and skin irritation.
4. Find Staple Mo Products
evo’s uberwurst shaving crème is great for a clean finish around the moustache, and the winners face balm is essential to keeping that mo looking moisturised and healthy!
5. Maintaining a Mega Mo
For those lucky enough to rock a long and luscious mo, a trick of the trade is to rub in a little styling clay, like evo’s cassius to create hold and repel water.
