We Ask A TikTok Witch How To Manifest Your Best Self Using Music

divine vibrations

By Victoria Lewis | 19th February 2026

We have all had the somewhat mind-numbing experience when you just can’t get that one song out of your head. Now, thanks to WitchTok, it may just be the secret to finding true love and long-lasting happiness.

Manifestation is a buzzword if ever we’ve heard one, the latest in a long line of intention-setting rituals, and it’s taken on a new lease on life with the rise of social media witches.

So we thought we’d go right to the source, asking Michelle Cook, also known as The Witch Of Moons Lane, her secrets to manifesting your best life. Here’s what she said: two words, “music manifestation”.

It’s the online craze that’s growing rapidly, and chronically online Aussies are leading the charge. As a practising witch for over 20 years, known for her podcast, How to Witch, Bitch!, Michelle is no stranger to teaching the tricks of the trade when it comes to manifesting, and says using music as an aid is really a “no-brainer.”

So watch out, your Spotify Wrapped is about to be infiltrated with feel-good bangers and pink noise, because witchy musical manifestation might just be the simplest way to bring in that positive, inspired energy we could all do with in our lives right now.

The meteoric rise of WitchTok

All jokes about going out and touching grass aside, Michelle is not the only one who has noticed we all need a little grounding these days. When you look around the world, we are all experiencing some stormy skies at the moment in some form, and that’s where music manifestation couldn’t have come at a better time.

Particularly in a post-pandemic world, Gen Z is putting their future back in their own hands, taking to social media to find community and tap into their most divine self. On the rise of WitchTok in the mainstream, Michelle says, “I’m loving that people, through dark times, are now finding something they have some control over.”

The victim of countless misconceptions, WitchTok is really just a community of uplifting creators (like Michelle) helping people with tarot readings, manifestation rituals, and crafting self-help spells. It’s about self-love and connection to the Earth above all.

It’s not just practising witches that can get in on the energy, either, Michelle says; anyone can step into their inner divine power, it’s all about the setup and the prepwork. She likens it to charging a phone. Supercharge your energy by tuning into the self – getting outside in nature, taking deep breaths – then the work can begin.

Musical manifestation 101

Don’t ditch those mirror affirmations just yet. Music isn’t a replacement for better-known techniques like verbal or written affirmations, but an act of intention setting that lingers in the background (like those lyrics in your head). Whether it be the perfect sonic start to your morning to complement your morning affirmations, or the soundtrack helping you drift into a deep sleep, music is the manifesting hack we didn’t know we needed.

Though the first song that springs to my mind is Get Lucky by Daft Punk, Michelle informs me that intention-setting playlists are all about range.

Driven by the younger generations, Australian Spotify data shows there has been a 289% increase in the number of playlists created containing words like manifest, manifesting, good vibes, lucky, affirmations, spell, and witchy. Looks like the world is entering its lucky girl era, and we are here for it.

This same data also tells us that 72% of Aussies use music to manifest good luck or positive outcomes, 74% choose music based on the kind of energy they want to bring to their day, and 63% create playlists for specific moods. We already look to music to centre us in times of chaos or uncertainty, and musical manifestation is just an extension.

How to set the scene for your divine self

The real secret is to put your own spin on things. We all have individual goals, ambitions, and above all, musical tastes, so Michelle’s advice is to go with the music you love, the music that puts you in a good mood, and go from there.

Here’s her basic step-by-step (for you to put your own divine spin on, of course):

  1. Start with some mood-setting melodies. Think heavier classical, slower sounds – perfect for feeling in-tune with yourself and setting those intentions.
  2. Put the manifestation in motion with some higher hertz to resonate with the heart. Her recs are 432 or 963 Hz.
  3. Then, get into the good vibes. The high-energy tunes that really speak to the soul. This is where your favourite headbanger comes in.

What should we have on our playlist?

When it comes to what kind of music you should listen to, Michelle says it really comes down to what it is you want to manifest. Love songs for finding a mate, uplifting songs for positive outcomes, so on and so forth.

Need some inspo? According to Spotify, these are the top 10 songs in Aussies’ intention-setting playlists:

  1. Disco Lines, Tinashe – No Broke Boys
  2. AUDREY NUNA, EJAE, HUNTR/X, KPop Demon Hunters Cast, REI AMI – Golden
  3. Macklemore, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Ray Dalton – Can’t Hold Us (feat. Ray Dalton)
  4. RAYE – WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!
  5. Tate McRae – Just Keep Watching (From F1® The Movie)
  6. AUDREY NUNA, EJAE, HUNTR/X, REI AMI – How It’s Done
  7. Tate McRae – Sports car
  8. Nelly Furtado, Timbaland – Promiscuous
  9. The Killers – Mr. Brightside
  10. Nelly Furtado – Maneater

So go on, get on Spotify and get playlist making! For more witchy tips, add Michelle’s weekly How to Witch, Bitch! podcast to your lineup. Happy listening, we can’t wait to meet your most divine self!
