Pug lovers unite. These squishy faced, wiggly tailed bundles of joy are often described as the clowns of the dog world. They’re energetic with a hit of dorkiness, which means Instagram is obviously obsessed with them. Whether you hate them or love them, we can all agree the world would be a dimmer place if it wasn’t for pugs. Without further adieu, may we present our top 10 silly little pooches that are guaranteed Brighten up your feed on the daily.
Why You Should Follow Them: Lou Lou the pug not only has one of the sweetest li’l faces on the interwebs, but she also “snores like a real lady” so is pretty much the pug incarnation of all of us. If that wasn’t enough to tempt you towards that follow button, she also has profesh pics taken of her every single day.
Moose (and Buffy)
Why You Should Follow Them: If Moose’s adventures chasing squirrels and chewin’ toys were somehow not cute enough already – he recently got a baby sister pug – Buffy. Pics of the two of them are so adorable, we consider this actual hard evidence that there is a god.
Why You Should Follow Them: This wee little baby is only nine months old, and he’s already an absolute sass queen. If the adorable pics don’t getcha, the bratty captions will have you giggling into next week.
Theo & Alvin
Why You Should Follow Them: Six-year-old Theo has more rolls than a bakery and little brother Alvin has a tongue with a mind of its own. These Norwegian buddies are fans of lazing around, napping and posing for pics to show off their pudge.
Pepper (and Minnie)
Why You Should Follow Them: As if two sets of pug siblings weren’t enough, Pepper’s new pal Minnie has arrived and she’s already stealing the show. If your heart doesn’t melt at the sight of two pug sisters cuddling up together than I’d recommend making an appointment with a cardiologist because there’s an 87% chance you have no heart at all.
Why You Should Follow Them:Another gorgeous pug baby, Pudge is a perky-eared snuggle buddy, whose favourite activities include sitting for treats and ferociously licking peanut butter. No one can say no to these eyes!
Why You Should Follow Them: Having one of Australia’s best up-and-coming wildlife photographers Robert Irwin as her dad has helped this furry cutie achieve bonafide Instagram stardom. Excellent quality photos aside, this pug is more photogenic than we could ever dream of being.
Why You Should Follow Them: Like many humans who are Insta savvy, Norm has two different Instagram accounts. Also like many humans, Norm loves a selfie. Norm’s daily selfie is one of the greatest gifts mankind has ever bestowed upon the internet. If selfies aren’t quite your style (um… why?) then check out the arthouse-esque pug project also featuring Norm, @jeremyveach. Run by his owner Jeremy, this account is filled with stunning artsy shots of Norm gallivanting around the world.
Why You Should Follow Them: Aussie boy Brucey is as outdoorsy as they come. He loves a swim and is currently in first place in the International Pug Pool Diving Competition which is definitely a real life competition and not something we’ve just made up.
Why You Should Follow Them: Doug the Pug has 83 times more followers than everyone in the Style office combined. He is the absolute king of Instagram, and this list would be entirely pointless and inaccurate without him. It may be safe to assume that you’re already following Doug already – but just in case you’re not – get on that PRONTO.
