The Best Winery Tours In Brisbane & Beyond You Must Discover!

Because who doesn’t want to spend a day drinking wine and eating cheese?

By Annéka Simpkins | 10th May 2017

Visiting a winery is on every girl’s bucket list, but actually trying to organise a trip makes planning a wedding look easy. So I’ve rounded up best winery tours on offer; all you have to figure out is what to wear (hint: skip the heels) and who to invite.

1. The Vino Bus | Brisbane, Gold Coast & Tamborine

Run by the effervescent and charming Tash, the Vino Bus will pick you up at a location of your choosing before taking you south to the Gold Coast Hinterland and Tamborine Mountain. Depending on your pre-selected tour, you can visit up to four wineries, a cheese factory and a distillery, plus indulge in an outstanding two=course lunch with views to die for.

2. Tash Maree Travel | Tamborine, Brisbane & Maleny

If you fancy heading north to the Sunshine Coast, then Tash is your girl. For something a little different, let her take you to Maleny and Montville. There’s lunch at Secrets on the Lake to enjoy, as well as trips to the iconic Flame Hill Winery and the Maleny Cheese Factory, and time to browse all the hidden gems Montville has to offer.

3. Cork ’n Fork Winery Tours | Tamborine

Judi and Peter are based in Tamborine, and no one knows the mountain’s wineries better than they do! They have winery tours ranging from high tea to Grape ‘n Hops so you can have your cake and eat it!

4. Ocean View Estates | Ocean View

Ocean View is the closest to our fair city at just a 45-minute drive towards Mount Mee. It’s also the only one on my list where you can stay – so you can forget heading home for dinner! They offer everything from horseback riding to picnicking, making it the perfect weekend getaway for all ages.

5. Stanthorpe Tours | Stanthorpe

Stanthorpe may be a little further out than the others on my list, but it’s the perfect place to pack your bags, grab your best girlfriends and enjoy a weekend of pure bliss!

The lovely Lex offers a wide range of luxury limousine tours, including a twilight tour that begins with tasting some of the Granite Belt’s finest before you watch the sun set behind the mountains and enjoy a sumptuous dinner.

Or if there’s a winery you just HAVE to visit that’s not included on any tour list, take control and plan your own tour – without the hassle of driving!

There are plenty of places to stay around Stanthorpe. Don’t forget to stop off for some world-famous apple pie at Sutton’s Farm before you leave!

6. Gold Coast Food and Wine Tours | Gold Coast

Operated by self-confessed foodie, Karen Inglis-Turner, Gold Coast Food and Wine Tours focuses on highlighting the very best food, wine and cocktail offering on the Gold Coast.

After a trip to Hawaii, Karen was blown away by the experience of the local island food tours. With a passion for the entire culinary experience, Karen’s experience encouraged her to establish Gold Coast Food and Wine Tours to give her guests a true local experience.

Although this isn’t a winery tour, Karen’s popular food and wine pairing experience is the perfect option for those looking for an exciting experience that is close to home.
