What The Style Team Has On Their Homewares Wishlist Right Now

dream home incoming

By Victoria Lewis | 9th July 2026

So the evenings are getting colder, and staying home feels ever so much more enticing than braving the outdoors. At the style office, that only means one thing: it’s time to add some new pieces to our homewares wishlist.

As a highly selective and design-led bunch, this season the team is leaning into warm tones, eclectic flair, and premium finishes. One brand nailing it in the homewares department at the moment is Kave, combining aesthetic edge with premium craftsmanship, each piece adding subtle interest to our humble abodes. From sculptural soft furnishings and refined outdoor pieces to timeless collections made in collaboration with renowned design studios, this is a brand adding serious fuel to the fire on our collective obsession with interiors.

Drawing on the interior trends defining the year so far, with the help of our distinct design eyes, these are the pieces the style team is coveting from Kave right now.

Kiri Johnston, Editor

I’m leaning towards new pieces with soft edges and a modern, elevated feel for my apartment. In need of a new dining table, I love how the dark timber of the Melvar brings warmth while still feeling contemporary. The Osla divan would be the perfect addition to my living room. I love the mix of timber, chocolate brown, and soft green tones, and I’d use it as a statement piece indoors or out on the balcony in summer. This footrest would be the perfect finishing touch. It pairs beautifully with my chocolate sofa and would make lazy weekends at home even more comfortable.

One thing high on my list of “adult” responsibilities this year is building up my art collection, choosing pieces that feel unique and edgy. I love how this textured paper wall art feels at once avant-garde and somehow earthy, while the moody colour palette is really speaking to me. Another piece that caught my eye is this Kave Home pendant light that (luckily for me) doubles as a true work of art – a head-turner to hang over any dining table. I’m all about adding pieces that create interest without overwhelming the whole look, so the moment I laid eyes on the burnt-rust Granite dining chair, I’ve been picturing it in my home ever since.

Caitlin Finucan, Graphic Designer

When looking for interior pieces, I always look to inject fun colours that brighten my space, add personality, and keep it feeling lively. I find sticking to block colours keeps everything looking fresh without feeling too overwhelming. Leaning further into the whimsy of the “playhaus” look this season, I’m also loving the patent finish, brought to life with Kave Home’s Albanella cement coffee table in a glossy lime-green finish.

Sandy Singh, Brand Executive

My design style is rooted in country-inspired living, but I love giving it a more refined, contemporary edge. I’m drawn to spaces that feel calm, warm, and effortlessly chic, where soft, textural fabrics are paired with rich walnut timber finishes and beautifully crafted details. The Topaz divan perfectly captures this balance with its inviting proportions and elegant upholstery, while the Falconera chair brings timeless character through its clean lines and solid oak frame. The Granite armchair is another favourite, adding comfort without compromising on style. It’s a look that embodies the next level of country design, feeling luxurious yet completely liveable.

Jackie Crompton, Digital Partnerships

Light, tactile, and timeless. This is the energy I’m trying to bring into my space when selecting pieces for my home right now. Bringing effortless coastal warmth to any indoor-outdoor space, I’m picturing the Galea 3-seater taking pride of place at my next hosting do. I’m loving pieces with a quietly Scandinavian take on coastal living – soft tones, natural timbers, and designs truly built for a life beside the water.

If you, too, are unable to get these pieces out of your head, check out Kave for your next interior refresh.
