Do you call yourself a wine aficionado? If you answered yes, then we highly recommend you take a trip to Fortitude Valley’s wine and snack bar this weekend. Snack Man is the ultimate moody, dimly lit wine and Chinese snack hot-spot that we didn’t realise was missing from our lives until now.

So, where exactly will you find the latest wine bar sensation? Snack Man is sitting pretty next to its bright and open sister venue, Happy Boy, on East Street. While both venues share a culinary theme, they contrast aesthetically. Snack Man is well and truly Happy Boy’s dramatic younger sister thanks to its dark leather and masculine concrete accents.

Snack Man currently serves up a condensed list of six delicious Chinese snacks to accompany your international, under-the-radar wines and cocktails. Some of the featured culinary delights include the likes of har gow, crispy chicken ribs and, of course, dumplings. There are talks that from early this year, the establishment will start serving a full Chinese menu. For now, we suggest you start your evening with beverages and entrees at Snack Man then venture across to Happy Boy for your full Asian feast.
