GRECA: Brisbane’s Greek Sensation That Will Make You Say Opa!

GRECA: Brisbane’s Greek Sensation That Will Make You Say Opa!

It’s a slice of the Mediterranean in our own backyard!

The vast array of entertainment and lifestyle options at the Howard Smith Wharf precinct has Brisbane in love. With a prime position underneath the Story Bridge, it’s no surprise that crowds constantly flock to the heritage listed site. Brisbane's riverside sensation at the concrete jungle is none other than the Greek Taverna, GRECA.

Since its opening, the Mediterranean Taverna has been receiving rave reviews for its delicious, simple food, wine and, of course, location. GRECA is the brain-child of restauranteur Johnathan Barthelmess who is responsible for the Sydney and Tokyo-based Greek hot-spot, The Apollo. The Queensland-native said that the Howard Smith Wharves precinct has incredible energy, so he could not turn down the chance to open up GRECA.

At GRECA, patrons can expect to be served a mixture of The Apollo’s signature dishes as well as some new Greek delights. The menu pays homage to traditional shared Greek feasts, so the menu focuses on share plates and side dishes. If you can’t decide what to order, for $66 per person, you can elect the full Greek feast so you can try a variety of GRECA’s star dishes.

We should also note that GRECA’s interior is rather impressive and makes for a super aesthetic Instagram post. The ultra-modern restaurant features plenty of open space, polished concrete, white accents, cosy lighting, and insane views of Brisbane! GRECA truly is our ideal weekend destination.
