The health-conscious approach to dining has arrived at Asana by Pete Evans

Celebrity chef, Pete Evans, is partnering with Capri by Fraser for a brand new Brisbane restaurant.

In hospitality, the customer is always right, so it makes sense then that the industry is finally answering customers' demands for healthy food that's innovative and tasty.

Chef Pete Evans’ latest collaboration with Fraser Hospitality, Asana by Pete Evans, is sure to be a winner with the local Brisbane foodies, with a menu designed to reflect the dining habits of the health-conscious traveller.

“Having Pete Evans collaborate with us at Asana adds a valuable element to the guest experience,” said General Manager of Capri by Fraser, Mariusz Tymosiewics. “Brisbane is fast establishing itself as an Australian food hub, and we’re excited to join this growing food scene”.

The restaurant borrows its name, Asana, from a yogic term that means ‘gentle stretching movements to balance body and mind’, and Evans has created a menu around this ideal that nourishes both body and soul. Spending around eight months of the year travelling, Evans understands how important it is to have a healthy meal on the road.

“Most people are conscious about making healthy food decisions and don’t want to compromise, especially when they are travelling”, he says, so he has created this menu with the modern traveller in mind. The Asana kitchen will showcase the best Queensland produce and will use fresh, local ingredients at the restaurant.

Local chef, Josh Harris, will be in charge of the kitchen, fresh from his stint as Head Chef at Brisbane’s Era Bistro, and will be responsible for bringing the flavoursome Asian and Middle-Eastern inspired menu to life for guests at Asana.

Asana Capri Brisbane will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with the bar open from 3pm daily, and the adjoining café offering coffee by Melbourne coffee scientists, The Sensory Lab, as well as paleo grab-and-go items and sweet treats.

Visitors will be spoiled for choice at Asana with the a la carte menu offering such delicacies as mixed berry pancakes with coconut and vanilla cream for breakfast, and macadamia-crumbed chicken with fermented raw slaw for lunch or dinner.

Asana Capri Brisbane opened last month in the new Capri by Fraser hotel in Albert St, and is Evans’ second collaborative effort with the Fraser Hospitality group.
