Huge News: Salt Meats Cheese Is Now Pouring Gelato Cocktails!

The only way to cool down this summer.

For Brisbane foodies, pizza lovers, party animals, and gelato fans alike, this is huge news. After a stellar season last year, Salt Meats Cheese (aka the charming Italian eatery located in the burgeoning foodie precinct, Newstead) has announced that they will be bringing back their super popular gelato cocktails!

Just in time for summer and long, lazy afternoons, the gelato cocktails are the perfect antidote to hot summer days. The menu includes Fragolino (South Australian Lambrusco wine served with infused strawberry vodka and berry sorbet), Pavlova-tini (vanilla gelato shaken with raspberry jam, lemon juice and topped with prosecco), the Banoffi Cup (vodka infused Nutella and bananas, shaken with whipped cream and chocolate sauce) and more! Plus, to make things even sweeter, every gelato cocktail on the menu is a delicious $14! That means you don’t need to feel bad about ordering a second (or third) round.

The family-run eatery is part restaurant, part deli, part cooking school and part bar, and launched in Sydney in 2011 before making their way up north with a restaurant in Surfers Paradise. Not long after, they opened their days in the stunning Newstead precinct, forever blessing Brisbane locals with their own style of casual Italian dining. Boasting fresh doughy pizza, exceptional charcuterie, rich sauces, and a relaxed and casual setting, Salt Meats Cheese quickly became a staple on the Brisbane dining scene.

While you’re there, make sure to try one of their famous pizzas. The Marinara (tomato, oregano, anchovies, baby capers, garlic, parsley) is deliciously simple, whereas the Salsiccia & Patate (mozzarella, Italian sausage, potatoes, provola) is perfectly indulgent. Whether you’re catching up with a big group of friends or getting cozy on date night, Salt Meats Cheese and their summer-ready offerings are always the perfect choice!
