Ramen Wednesdays Are Back At Gerard’s Bar

Ramen Wednesdays Are Back At Gerard’s Bar

And we’re so ready to get our slurp on!

Are you a hopeless ramen-tic? If like us, the simple word ramen has you reaching for the Togarashi chilli powder quicker than you can say umami, than you’ll be happy to hear what Gerard’s Bar has in store for Brissie locals this winter.

Gerard’s Bar on James Street is known for putting on a delicious spread of Spanish charcuterie cured meats and tasty tipples of an evening, but the team have decided to step things up a notch for Winter by bringing back their popular Ramen Wednesdays.

From 5pm ‘til late (or until sold out) Gerard’s Bar will be turning things Japanese once a week with authentic Tonkotsu-style ramen and traditional Japanese saké on offer every Wednesday. Each bowl is prepared with free-range macadamia-fed charcuterie pork, soy pickled eggs, crisp nori and green onions served over handmade egg noodles. To top it off, you’re free to spice up your ramen by adding your choice of black garlic oil or umami-rich chilli oil.

In terms of how long Ramen Wednesdays will last, we can’t be sure. But what we do know so far is that Gerard’s Bar has created four Facebook events for every Wednesday evening in April.

So, if you think of yourself as a ramen lover, grab your foodie friends and set a date!
