Don’t you ever just want to go back in time to the good old days? Hell, to a time when you weren’t even born (preferably not when you’re parents were dating - gross)? Thankfully, Prohibition Brisbane has just introduced their new club that oozes 1920s style, glamour and the sense of taboo every world-class speakeasy should have.

Prohibition Brisbane is located adjacent to Chinatown, with patrons to enter via grand glass doors on Wickham Street and descend a staircase transporting them to the bootleg era and the beating heart of the venue’s multiple bars and lounges on offer.

The venue has a fresh and unique style, while the décor includes earthy tones and old fashion finishings. A moving ceiling welcomes you in and there are three separate bars and lounges to choose from, including the Main Hall ‘Prohibition’, the ‘Blind Tiger’ speakeasy-style bar and the VIP exclusive ‘Wall Street’ lounge. We hear you have to have an exclusive membership to even step a foot inside!

Prohibition Brisbane's Michael Watt says the venue will be a unique venue and experience to share with friends.

“We are incredibly excited to be launching a word-class venue into a gap in the market for a comfortable mid size bar and club offering great service,” he says.

The venue wouldn’t be a true ode to the bygone bootleg and speakeasy era without hard liquor, classic cocktails and attentive service and there are definitely some exciting mouthwatering originals with a twist worth a try!

Spoil yourself with a great range of 1920s classic cocktails like ‘The Peach & Passionfruit Rickey’ and the ‘Du Pont Daiquiri’, but don’t worry; you will still be treated with the best of both worlds if you are not a cocktail person as hard-core liquor will also be available from a top-notch service.

Across the coming months, the venue will feature an elite line-up of international headline DJs, and play host to a variety of glittering events and exclusive post-concert after parties.
