Think old Queenslander vibes with that homey feeling woven throughout. Think smooth, creamy coffee, crunchy yet soft pastries and finally, think perfectly poached eggs. Fish, hook, line and sinker…we’re in! Who, what, where and why?

Paddock Bakery was originally brought back to life by owners Ursula and Ben Watts from what was once a timeworn Queenslander. They envisioned the potential and created the gold coast gem that now whiffs of coffee grinds and crispy bacon.

They’re the couple behind the ‘Benny Bagel’ with crisp eye bacon & fresh rocket OR salmon & spinach, with poached eggs and house hollandaise – toasted on a sesame seed bagel. Ooo gosh, and somehow it gets better. For all the avid avo lovers they’ve included ‘Rustic Avo’ on the menu.

But for those feeling a little more peckish, you won’t want to go past the ‘Breakfast in Bread’! (Side note: please prepare yourself and if you haven’t eaten today, we feel sorry for you.) Featuring chorizo sausage, black beans queso, fresco, red capsicum, onion, mushroom, spinach and chipotle ranchero sauce in a Paddock woof-fire sourdough bread bowl, topped with mozzarella and a fried egg. Wow…our tummies are rumbling and we know yours are too.

Not only does the food and coffee taste amazing – but also it looks amazing. Some might say, ENTIRELY insta-worthy! Their Instagram features some seriously mouth-watering images that will be sure to get you there if we haven’t already tempted you. Oh wait; did we mention they even serve a Nutella stuffed chocolate chip cookie – made fresh EVERYDAY?
