Here in Brisbane, we have some pretty great food options – there’s no doubt about it. The junction of Fortitude Valley and Brisbane Showgrounds is a mecca of fantastic and equally delectable food options (think Alfred and Constance Streets!) and King Street precinct at the Brisbane Showgrounds has just been added to the mix!

At the heart of Brisbane Showgrounds, this new high street between Gregory Terrace and St Pauls Terrace is home to a range of new eateries for you to sink your teeth into so we’ve put together the must-eats and must-visits that have just hit town:

Fat Dumpling

If you’re a sucker for dumplings, this is the place to be. Their dumplings are handmade daily – fat, juicy and full of delicious flavour. You can look forward to prawn and garlic chives, chicken and asparagus, pork and Chinese cabbage, fish dumplings and many more mouth-watering options!

The George Bar & Bistro

For a full breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can’t look past The George Bar & Bistro! After a coffee? Take advantage of their GG Espresso outlet. They also offer full bar service for those cheeky afternoon drinks – try their GG Espresso Martini for a kick of flavour!

Il Verde

Modern Italian dining has never tasted so good. Il Verde is set to become your new favourite spot for weekend dining. You can expect to see wood-fired pizzas, antipasto delights, and (of course) tiramisu is on the dessert menu! Don’t forget to wash it all down with an Aperol Spritz.

Sushi & Nori

Sushi train fans, rejoice – this one’s for you! Sushi & Nori has landed at King Street, featuring simple dishes to satisfy your tastebuds. You’ll even feel like you’re in Japan with the luxurious and traditional design of the restaurant! It’s the best place to go when all you’re craving is the sweet taste of Japanese mayo infused with delicious sushi dishes.

Hello Chicken

There’s no doubt that food trucks are highly popular in Brisbane, and Hello Chicken has followed suit! If the words “honey soy garlic chicken” or “snow cheese chicken” are making you drool, then visit this food truck at King Street, Brisbane Showgrounds!
