Coffee lovers, rejoice! Brisbane wholefoods duo, Alison and Brett Hutley are making magic again, but this time they’re putting caffeine at the top of their menu.
Just two doors down from their popular second Botanica store, Greenhaus Coffee is the couple’s third business serving up a whole lot of breakfast love for anyone on the go.
Located on the corner of Doggett and Chester streets, Botanica Real Food’s caffeinated little sister is due to open on June 1. Its convenient corner location means customers will be able to grab a takeaway latte with their lunchtime salad box or afternoon cupcake.
Like its salad-serving sibling, Greenhaus Coffee will offer predominantly takeaway items such as toasted sourdough with assorted sweet and savoury toppings, breakfast parfait cups and mini brioche toasties.
“Since opening Botanica in 2013, we have always been asked if we served coffee, but we always had a firm stance that we wouldn’t, as long as we were neighbouring a coffee shop,” Alison said.
But when the café next to Botanica at Teneriffe relocated, the couple wanted to continue providing coffee on the popular corner.
“Brett and I love coffee, and we both have a great enthusiasm for Brisbane’s burgeoning food scene, so it made sense to seize this opportunity and launch our very own coffee haunt,” she said.
“Nothing beats starting the day with a delicious coffee, so imagine pairing that with a savoury tartine topped with cashew cream, blistered tomatoes and basil, or a bowl of warm vanilla porridge with honey and cinnamon. You’re truly set for a great day!”
Alison and Brett have put a lot of love and energy into their brand in the past four years, making Botanica Real Food a Brissy cult favourite.
Greenhaus Coffee will be open seven days a week from 6.30am and is expected to be the ideal spot for anyone who needs a kick of caffeine and a nutritious brekky on the run.
