Mr Edward’s Alehouse and Kitchen has a prime location in the City (on the corner of Margaret and Edward Street), with a large outdoor courtyard for functions, Friday knock-offs and general catch-ups.
The vision for owners Gerry Murphy and Daniel Whiffen was to create a location where craft beer, European eats and city life were to go hand in hand.
Daniel Whiffen says their focus is not to be the next big fad, but to ensure Mr Edward’s becomes a respected name in Brisbane for quality, creativity and good old-fashioned customer service.
The venue will showcase a European-fusion dining menu, including charcuterie, share plates, slow-cooked meats and traditional alehouse offerings, including a large selection of fine wine, cocktails, spirits and craft beers.
“The godfather of craft beer, Coopers, have partnered up with Mr. Edwards to showcase their largest range of their beers in Queensland,” Daniel says.
This impressive partnership with Coopers Brewing will mean the venue will host the entire Coopers collection, as well as this year’s Vintage ale on tap, which will be the first time in Queensland the stout will be pouring.
If you’re interested in an early morning pour of coffee, their coffee cart will be in operation from 7am daily to ensure you get your daily caffeine hit along with a delicious breakfast pastry.
The venue plans to open on Monday, July 27, with the opening hours set for 7am til late Monday to Friday, 11am til late on Saturdays and open for private functions on Sundays.
If you get in quick, they are running a competition to win 1 of 5 dinner packages for two (dinner packages paired with specific drinks to complement each course) on their website to celebrate their launch.
