Get your chef’s hat ready. A once in a life time opportunity for foodies across the world has just been announced.

Le Cordon Bleu, the iconic culinary institution that brought you Julia Child is celebrating 125 years. To celebrate, they have announced their first ever global cooking competition to give one aspiring chef the opportunity to study at one of their schools!

Think cooking global cuisines and crafting sweet patisseries, Paris style.  If you’re a pro at making either of these, this could be for you.

With a reputation steeped in history, prestige, and culinary excellence since its founding in Paris back in 1895, Le Cordon Bleu is still the global leader in vocational and higher education in the culinary arts and hospitality sector. And now, they’re hosting their first ever global cooking competition to give one aspiring chef the opportunity to follow in the honorary footsteps of Child, herself.

Now, to the good stuff. If you think you stand a chance, you can apply on their website. All competitors will need to demonstrate levels of culinary expertise and technique, a share of knowledge, and above all, culinary passion.

The lucky first place winner will receive a full scholarship to study Le Cordon Bleu’s most coveted award, the Grand Diplôme and the best part, you get to choose which campus you want to study on. You can take your skills to Paris, London or stay closer to home, here in Australia.

Don’t fear, there is also a second and third place prize. The second-place winner will receive a scholarship for a Certificate in Basic Cuisine to study the French culinary techniques at the heart of contemporary cuisine.

Third place will receive a scholarship for a Certificate in Basic Patisserie to learn the techniques and artistry of a professional patissier.

To celebrate the exceptional talents of many Le Cordon Bleu graduates, the institute is also launching the first Alumni ‘Trophy of Excellence’ competition, an opportunity for former students to compete for the coveted award.

So you know what that means, get cooking and get applying. You could be the next Julia Child!
