If you like to dabble in a tipple, we have a nibble for you! The La Costa collective that brought Australia’s number one bar to Brunswick Street is now turning your visit to the bottle-o into a romp through the hills and valleys of Piedmont. Dedicated to the perfectly Italian mantra ‘il vino è vivo’, wine is life at La Valle.

Now open on Alfred Street, over 200 top quality wines sit proudly within these moody interiors, available for both dine-in and takeaway. With everything from popular contemporary producers like Payten & Jones and Athletes of Wine, to exclusive sips from the likes of Gabriele Scaglione’s Barbera d’Alba, your bucket Moscato could never compare. And for those who prefer their grapes uncrushed, they also offer the best of the craft-brewery market alongside premium spirits and a selection of vermouths.

Of course, what’s a vino without its perfect pair? Chow down on cheese, charcuterie, cured meats, and schiacciata, as well as street-style focaccias with mortadella, basil pesto, grilled zucchini, and salty pecorino to the tune of weekly live music jamming 80s and 90s favourites.

La Valle will also be introducing a wine club offering in-venue tastings to titillate your palate, and the lazy enthusiast can take advantage of their kerbside pickup or delivery. They know one visit will leave you wanting to come back for more, so they’re also rewarding regulars with discounts, invitations, and first dibs on exclusive releases.

La Valle is open from 5pm on Wednesdays, from midday until 4pm and then from 5pm on Thursdays to Saturdays.
